Hi everyone, I'm in today but struggling to get through to dinner. I know I can have a cauliflower and garlic soup from freezer now if I like but I'd rather fast till dinner so I just keep saying things to myself like 'just iron those things first' then 'just unpack that suitcase first' now I'm on the forum for distraction.
Wineoclock, that would have been such a worrying week you poor thing. How long did you have to wait/worry for the results? Im so glad the results were good :victory: and you are having a better week. :clover:
Now you can celebrate to your good health this weekend as you raise your glass of wine or two :drink: :drink:
Cheers,
 julianna
Thanks for all your nice comments, I know I'm one of the lucky ones.
Congrats on your visa LilSmiler, where are you from originally?
Just spent a nice few hours catching up with a really good friend. She started 5:2 a few weeks ago and has lost nearly 2 kilos and her husband 4 (typical men always got to do better!!!). So we had a coffee with a splash of milk and talked a lot about food.

Welcome home Julianna how was the holiday. The biopsy results only took a couple of days but at the biopsy I found out they were only cysts so I wasn't so worried after that. Definitely happier now
@julianna, nasty weather, the fire is in Linksview road Springwood, behind Springwood golf course. Not a fun day for the firemen
Very strange weather here near the CBD.
I'm from the UK originally :)
Maryanne, I first read that as a gin plateau, not good at all  Maybe that is the point you get to in your drinking where you have any more gin and you start to get maudlin!!!
Well done on your visa Lil, I know it is always an anxious thing waiting for things like that to come through.
Extremely stressful! Why did I pick today to fast when I really want to celebrate lol.
Can someone remind me why I'm doing this? Not easy today at all. It starts to make me feel queazy when the hunger wont let up. I'm counting the next hour so I can have a boiled egg, pushing it to 4.30 is not a good thing for me, nausea wise.

Considering I made a spaghetti bake, banana muffins and banana custard, have not licked a single spoon or pot.

1. The hunger will pass
2. Imagine the feeling when you wake up tomorrow morning of knowing you did it yesterday and you can eat as you please for the rest of the day.
3. Think of the figure you're dreaming and working towards and how doing this is bringing that closer to you. If it is only for health benefits think of those and also how it will positively effect your family :)
4. Remember how annoyed you will be if you give up now. It is already afternoon and the evening will soon be here.

Drink lots, relax and have an early night.

Lil
Damn you woman with your loose talk of muffins and custard!!!! I too am finding it extremely hard for some reason today too
And why? Cos it is good for us and we will feel soooo virtuous tomorrow!!!

And what Lil said too!!
I have eaten SO clean this week I can't wait for a bit of a treat on Saturday.
LilSmiler, Savour your treat on Saturday and let in linger in your mouth. I have so often in the past, even forgotten I had eaten something so delish, because I was thinking at the same time I was eating.
I'm going to try mindfulness eating tomorrow, enjoy your treat.
Thanks LilSmiler, for the reminder. My memory doesn't serve well in the presence of hunger.
Debs, you are funny, and oddly though cooking passes my time much quicker than any other task and it also reminds me i can have my spaghetti bake tomorrow, sometimes leftover taste better.
I do the same too and don't properly 'enjoy' what I've been craving. I will make my lunch and wine on the seafront last as long as possible :)
Morning all! And evening for the southern hemisphereres.
What a lot is going on! Warm and supportive thoughts to all.
I'm in today for a bit. It's our wedding anniversary, so I'll fast until dinner time then cook something lovely and have some champagne. See how I feel and might do a proper fast tomorrow.
Feeling fuzzy to hugs to all.
Happy Anniversary Jane!
Good idea, fast during the day and go all out tonight :)
