First day of fasting today and not doing too badly.

Have had a yoghurt two plums and a banana so far so 320 cals for this evening then to bed early so I dont think about food or wanting to raid the cupbords..

For all those who have been doing this a while how long did you find you were doing the diet before you noticed any weight loss. .
Hi everyone! Hope you are all doing well :0)
Fasting today, going much better than Thursdays one! I did a 24 hour one then, don't think I was ready for it as still in the first month of 5:2. So today I've gone back to lunch and early dinner, then a hot choccy after boxing training tonight :0) The beauty of this 5:2 is how easily it can be adapted to suit you- if you are struggling today, take heart, you can do it, just find a way that that is doable for you :0)
Good luck everyone!

Fast day for me today too, I actually look forward to them now, especially my Monday fast as I always seem to overdo things slightly on the weekends! My husband has joined me with this now which is making things so much easier. My 3 year old son came home from playgroup just now with a cupcake he had made me for mothers day and was very disappointed I couldn't eat it there and then. I'm just drinking very weak sugar free squash and black coffee and don't find it hard at all at the moment until I eat tonight- chicken breast and veg- and then find it difficult in the few hours before bed. I'm in week 4 now and have had a loss each week which I'm pleased with
Hi everyone.. This will be my second day of fasting. The first one I did on the 26 of feb.. Just wondering what time to start as I had a late night and woke up just now.. It's ab 2pm here.. Shall I keep the fast till 2 pm Tom ?
Hi all,

I am new to this forum, infact this is my first ever post!

Fasting today, my 3rd (started the 5:2 diet last week). Going well so far although starting to feel a little peckish but the fact that I lost 2 lb last week is spurring me on.

Still got a way to go to reach my goal weight. Hoping to reap the benefits health wise too.

Good luck to all my fellow fasters today!
Hi everyone

This is my third fast day. I'm doing ok so far, but beginning to feel properly hungry now. I'm trying to go until this evening and eat my cals in one go tonight, well apart from the skimmed milk I had in my tea this morning.

I've decided to have my weigh-in days on a Friday. I've lost 2lbs so far which I'm very pleased about.

Good luck all, may the force be with you!
Week 8 today! Not lost as much weight as I'd have liked to but I do 'eat well' on non fast days. I've decided that I will fast for 24 hours on my fast days. This was after I accidentally did it twice and found it quite easy. But today I'm struggling! This may have something to do with a work colleague who eats permanatly! There is always something on its way into her mouth and today it's stressing me out! :?:

I don't like feeling like this and know that tomorrow I will be bouncing with bundles of energy.
Hi fellow fasters, had trouble logging in all day but at least I've got lots done! Looking forward to steamed haddock and salad at 6.30 tonight :0)
Hi All,
6th week of fasting and roughly 8 lbs off, I am struggling to get past that all important 10 lbs point, like so many of you! I am going for a no food day, this will be my 2nd but getting some cals from a little drop of milk in my coffee this morning. Finding it easier than counting cals but had an aweful headache on my last fast so keeping an eye today. While the weight loss is not as fast as I would like have definitely lost inches around my waist and am thrilled with that

Yes, I've had trouble logging on today - it keep signing me out as soon as I've signed in. Annoying - but maybe fate's way of telling me something lol?
Really hungry now. Only an hour till feed time though - tuna salad. Bring it on!
Count me in.
Hope it's going well for all my fellow Monday fasters.
It's now 3.30 & I'm having my afternoon treat of hot chicken borvril! Like to keep most of my calories for evening, having m&s chicken & super grain soup tonight & an options hot choc before bed.
Fasting days don't really bother me now, it's so much easier not having to think about what goes in my mouth & getting back to enjoying food again.
I'm fasting today too, it's been quite easy so far (week9).I made leek, parsnip&ginger soup for lunch (100 calories), and looking forward to a warm salad of roast veg, steak and horseradish cream (around 250 calories). Doesn't seem like I'm denying myself at all

Hi Kayers1980, I lost a pound in my 1st week and have had a loss every week since! Last week, my 5th, I lost 4 pounds!! Which I was very happy with!

Have found the fasts getting easier - today have had nothing other than a couple of black coffees, a couple of fruit teas and some water.

Very much looking forward to jambalaya from the Hairy Dieters book for dinner though!

Good luck!
Hello everyone! Hope it's going well. It's this time of day I find tricky...just in from work, ready for a snack to keep me going until dinner... Hope you all make it to your evening meals without too much pain! :-)

Today's my third fast and it's been the easiest so far. Partly because I'm anticipating how I'm going to feel but also because I've been incredibly busy at work all day. I've eaten nothing, just drank a double espresso and lots of fruit tea. I'm saving my calories for stir fry and a few noodles tonight!

I'm spurred on by the fact that I seem to have lost 4lbs in my first week of fasting! :-D I usually really struggle to shift any weight at all, so I didn't want to believe the scales were right, but I weighed myself more than once and they kept saying the same thing!

I hope everyone starts to reap the rewards of their fasting soon! Good luck! :-)
