Hi all. Hope your fasting is going OK so far today!?

This is my 3rd fast post holidays. I put on loads on weight over my holiday, and now I'm 2lb heavier than before I started on the plan at the begining of Feb!! Oh well. I feel very motivated and the fasting days are certainly easier for me now, as the weeks have past. I'm sticking to water throughout the day, and one meal in the evening. My hubbie started to do the 5:2 last week, and he lost an amazing 6lb when he weighed himself on Friday!! I was so chuffed for him. He's got a way to go, but he's really motivated too, and has even started exercising!

Oh well, thats all from me (in my lunch break at the mo....having NO lunch!!) :-) xx
Hmmm. Apologies if this shows up twice. I posted it earlier but it seems to have disappeared.

Anyway, as I was saying....!

It's my 14th fast today. Normally I fast on Sunday and Tuesday, then weigh in on Wednesday. But, after a couple of weeks of total piggery on feast days (mostly due to an out-of-control carb craving!) I've decided to do 4:3 this week to give me a boost. I fasted yesterday and I'm doing it again today - the first time I've done consecutive days. I'm feeling ok about it so far, and now I'm wondering if I should do tomorrow as well. Or is three consecutive days too much do you think? :?:
Fasting here today too, It's definately getting easier :) good luck all.
Hi Monday fasters, my 5th week and 9th fast. Met an old friend in town and drank gallons of weak tea. Usually have decaf so a little bit high now. My weekly weigh day today and find I have lost 4 lbs in four weeks and one inch off my waist so very pleased with myself and must now keep the good work up as I have a long way to go. Happy fasting everyone. :-)
Beginning 5th week of IF. Didn't lose anything last week and hoping that's just a blip. 6lbs lost so far. Desperately need to get past the magic 10lb mark as every diet I've ever done always stalls at 10lb lost and then I lose heart and the weight gradually creeps back on. Not feeling very confident at the moment although that's probably more to do with career problems. Keep telling myself to "Step away from the chocolate!". Sorry for the negativity, guys.
OhOh Hungry...I'm not listeniiiing ;)let's have a coffee
Well I WAS going for a total fast today (water only) but my friend has just brought me some homemade butternut squash soup and it would be rude not to indulge  so I shall have that at teatime and I must say Im looking forward to trying some, it smells delicious !!
Hi fellow fasters!
Like a good few of you, I wasn't 'good' this weekend, despite best intentions (imagine being on a food stall at a food event and not trying anything...)The to cap it all, we had wine with our meal last night - and I can't remember the last tiem I had wine!
I have put a pound back on. So, in addition to a fast today, I plan on Wednesday and Friday, too, as I can't let myself weaken at all!
Although not on this WOE, hub is also doing well on his diet and we've both lost about 11lbs.
Lovely to think I'm not alone (though I work from home and it's quite lonely at times!) as I can 'chat' to you lot!
This is my start of my 5th week and I am beginning to enjoy my Monday fast after a weekend of lovely feeding.

After experimenting I find that skipping breakfast and having lunch and dinner suits me best. I tend to eat early on the evening prior to a fast day which means that by lunchtime the following day I will have fasted for 18 hours. I also eat dinner early on a fast day and postpone breakfast the next day until around 10am which means another 15 hour break from food.

I am only 2 lbs away from my goal and hope to continue on 6:1 and so hope that this way eating one day a week will give me the health benefits as well as maintaining my new weight.
@ Muppet, 2lbs off your goal?, thats fantastic !!!
Also happy to be fasting today. I notice I go a bit mad the day after the fast but then get back to something a bit more sensible. Fast Days are always most welcome though as beginning to suspect that "normal" Feed Days are in fact more like Frantically Feast Days. Weight loss is still very very slow but if I lose just 1lb a month then I'll be half a stone lighter by July (since starting) and that will definitely be utterly brilliant! My first weight loss goal is half a stone and then a stone. Size-wise I want to easily fit into Size 16 again. Lots of lovely clothes waiting for me! I met a friend yesterday who said I had definitely lost weight. First one to say so! Today for lunch: a small portion of Lentil, Bacon, Barley Soup (150 cals) and supper: an Innocent Veg Pot with a small piece of steamed fish. Plus 2 x cuppas with semi-skimmed goat's milk. Probably that will be around 550 cals. And I am happy with that.
Hi fellow fasters
I'm not normally a Monday faster, but as I'm attempting a 4:3 this week, it's my extra day. So far so good. Just come back from the dentist so not exactly appetising. Helpful today though!
Good luck to all fasting :)

It is Shazzam  but I have to admit that I didn't have much to lose when I started. However,I have been carrying around those few extra pounds for years and this is the first WOE that is actually tackling them. For me the most important thing is that I am losing inches from my waist.
Lil wrote: I'm fasting today. 0.6lb loss this week and only 2lb this month. Given my history not bad for me but I had been managing about a pound a week. Hope it's not going to stall completely.
On a brighter note I had a measure. I have lost 1" fom waist, 2" from hips and more than 2" from each thigh.
We had roast chicken last night. I am going to try the hairy dieters chicken and ham pie tonight. I will calorie count it as I will not be starting with a whole chicken and will only be making it for 2.

Forget the scales, that's a great inch loss! The tape measure gives a far better indication of what's going on IMHO.
Wow - lots of Monday fasters! Keep up the good work guys n gals!
