Second fast of my 5th week for me. Still feeling lousy and headachey from the bout of flu I have had the past few days so I may not make it. I will take each hour as it comes. Back in work as well.

Ambergold - I would also echo Lucky7's comments about time of the month. I don't weigh but use a measuring tape instead, maybe that would help?

Good luck all fasters today! We can do this.
Hi everyone, second ever fast for me today. First was really bad with severe headaches but could be from caffeine withdrawal so just had my first black coffee and hope the headache stays away.

WW chicken noodle soup for lunch about 2pm hopefully at 51 cals and an M&S ready meal for tea with extra veg, need to pop in and get that later. My daughter has been off sick the last two days so it has been hard to get organised but going to make some family meals at the weekend and freeze to make it easier for me on fast days.
I am on my second fast this week too, My third no food at all fast, although I get some calories from a little milk in my coffee in the morning, I try to stick to herbal teas after 12 noon. I woke up with a headache this morning - financial worries so I will have to be careful and may need to eat something, in the early stages of fasting my headaches were unreal. My weight loss has been sporadic and my fixation with the scales does not help, however I can really feel a difference in my clothes, I could even feel my ribs this morning! I know my biggest problem is not the fasting days but the feasting ones, trying to work on that - next week!
Hello all, I should be joining you today as Thursday's is usually my second fast day of the week but we have been invited to friends for dinner tonight so I will fast tomorrow instead.

Good luck everyone today.
Hi yes also my fasting day today into my second week so 4th fast day just had my 30g of porridge made with water and a cup of tea that will do me until lunch time I will have a cup a soup minestone,Im not sure what I am having this evening yet,I find I need to eat 3 meals rather than save the calories up,I think its what works for you ,this site is great plenty to occupy yourself full of good stuff to read
I'm fasting today too. First fast was Monday, Thursdays always slightly harder. I've had a green tea so far. I've measured out a little skimmed milk for when I need tea later but I want to wait until dinner time and have a veggie omelette. Got lots on my mind today so fasting will prove I don't have to comfort eat through my problems :)
Lucky7, this is my 4th week and my weight has went back to what it was before I started but I'm going to push on and keep going. X
This is my normal fasting day, but after 2 enforced fasts this week due to illness I think I'll go for about 700-800 kcals just to get something back into my stomach.

Hopefully I'll feel a lot better and eat normally over the weekend. :)
You are all up very early today. It must be all that extra energy.
Fast day no 2 for me today.
Was out for dinner at a friends last night, so looking forward to my fast day.
Thinking I might finally, hopefully sort out my freezer drawers as I can't find anything.
That's the plan anyway.
Normally have Zumba this morning, but fell over in yesterday's class, and have a really sore knee this morning, so not going today.
Good luck everyone fasting today.
I just love sitting here very comfortably in my jeans, and dreaming about being sitting this comfortably in my size smaller ones maybe in a month's time.......
Good morning Thursday fasters, my day too. I'm quite content with this pattern and have lots to do today, some work some play. Weight loss has definitely slowed down but think of the health benefits.
Morning all :)
Fasting today and woke up hungry >.<;;
I had a lovely lunch out with my mum yesterday, followed by a pudding and I felt so full still at dinnertime that I didn't want to eat a big meal. I just ate a pear last night to fill me up and had a hot chocolate later in the evening.
So I've not had a proper meal since lunchtime yesterday and won't eat again until this evening. Good thing I've plenty of work to keep busy with. Must try to stay away from here if I'm going to get it done, I've not gotten around to it all week and the deadline is Monday!

Bought myself a few new tops, undies & house trousers yesterday, to stop me feeling like a lump wearing all those clothes that were hanging off me! Feels nice to have some fancy new undies now I'm not so self conscious about my figure :D

Time to go get a nice tall glass of water!
I'm looking forward to having to buy smaller sizes.
I have found that if I don't eat around my 1600 cals the day before a fast that I am super hungry on a fast day.
Now that I'm aware of it I always try and eat to more or less my 1600 cals.
I am also feeling so much more relaxed about everything now that I'm not jumping on and off the scales everyday. I can't believe what a difference it's made to my attitude.
I am after all doing this primarily for health reasons.
I started this yesterday.I was worried I would'nt last my first day but I made it, and it was'nt as bad as I thought.Looking forward to seeing some results.soon!
Morning all,
Another Thursday another fast.Unfortunately, I've got a bit of cold today, one of those annoying ones where you feel run down but not ill enough to stay in bed.. and I'm supposed to be going out this evening so can't really take time off today... I am fasting today.. but possibly not so strictly.(Ie I might allow myself more fruit juice than normal) but try not to over eat... and I'll choose something healthy when we go out tonight course, colds surpress the appetite anyway so maybe they'll be less temptation?
Me too, today. Think I may have picked a cold up but having a haircut shortly and forgot until now it was the day I weigh myself so I'll go do that.

Got some chicken for tea and will probably have a snack at lunchtime.

Can't remember how many fasts this is but thinking of taking a week off in April when in-laws visit as a bit perturbed by Caro's reports of ADF people and heart issues. However, I might not as I find this very doable! :-)
Hi All
my 6th fast so far and all agoing well
Hopefully will try and make it till teatime for meal otherwise it will be a handful of nuts and maybe a banana mid afternoon

Wildmissus- re scales, i had to swap back to my old ones whilst waiting for a new battery and the initial difference wasnt too bad but when i gotthe battery for the scales it showed a difference of 6lbs but luckily after the first fast of the week that plus more had disappeared and on normal weigh day i was down another 2lb- what i am trying to say is if the new scales are different in a bad way just start afresh from that reading and they will soon show a downward trend again

good luck today to all fasters
