This is my 4th one in total and so far, so good. I haven't tried leaving everything for dinner. I don't know if I will be able to do that, quite honestly. My husband does that sometimes, but not by choice - he's just super busy. But when he gets home he is ravenous and eats way more than he should for the rest of the evening. Don't want to follow in that mode. Just a couple of complaints: A mild headache in the afternoon. I try to keep hydrated and this helps, but I still get the headaches. My other problem is well, not being "regular". I have been having to take something for this, and that is not like me at all.

Me too and the afternoon is nearly over :)
Have enjoyed the day and even sat in Costas with my daughter tucking into a tuna melt and Latte !
I feel really inspired by all this- and the other messages here. I have found myself revising a whole life time of avoiding being hungry and instead quite appreciating, even enjoying it. And I say that with absolute acknowledgement and humility that actually I and we are privileged to be able to chose that. To know we can actually go to the cupboard and find something to eat, when for so many that is not an option.

But yes for me it feels liberating, safe in the knowledge I can eat later.

So nice to have the sun on the body for awhile. Just missed the bus so had to trawl round the town over lunchtime....soooooooooo difficult, but managed to stay on plan and stopped in a supermarket cafe for a coffee. Also bought a couple of chicken breasts to have with Puy lentils tonight which should come in quite low on calories, I hope.
Is the Hairy Dieters book good and are the ingredients straightforward?

I could do with that. Moved house and miss my bath as we only have a shower now. UK's swimming pool tend to be manky.

HD cookbook is very good.

2nd week, 4th fast going on today. Monday was much harder than the first 2. Today hasn't been too bad but my thoughts are creeping toward food now! (It's 12:50 pm. Womp, womp.) Ack! And you know what doesn't help? Looking through the weekly sale ads for my grocery and seeing all the food I can't have! Why did I do that to myself? Haha. Anyway, I hope you are all having a great day! Strength and love to you all!!

I'am on my 6th week of fasting and have lost over 7 kilos, I've found skipping breakfast the best way, I normally eat an apple and some carrot about 11am and eat at night about 7pm. The longer you fast the easier it gets.

I gave in to the cake in the staff room today  There was so much cake and the person that makes them is a brilliant baker. I found myself cutting a slice but I wrapped it up and took it away and I'm really going to enjoy it tomorrow! :victory:

Just had an innocent Thai veg pot and I'm not sure, it certainly tasted good for me and has definitely filled my tummy, but I'm not sure if I actually enjoyed it! Only 316 calories and 40 for my hot choc later so if I want to later I have over 100 calories left! Yey!

Hello All,

I'm fasting today as well. It's almost 3 p.m. and all I've had today has been black coffee. Last night I had some French fries (just a few) and a Guinness and then about six or seven chicken pot stickers around 10:30 p.m. I wanted to make sure I had enough fuel in me to get through today! I'm doing well, but starting to feel cold and grumpy.

I'm fasting today too. Fasting at home as I've got a day off today as I'll be working all weekend. Thought it would be really hard and I'd need to keep myself busy, but I've spent so long on here catching up with 2 days worth of posts that I've not got anything else done!

Decided to forego my calories today and just dose myself with teas and coffee. So far, going okay--for me, having this cold is more of a pain than the non-eating is. Hoping this will accelerate the healing process too--more herbal tea, please!

Sitting down with a tummy full of Waitrose chicken casserole and a bowl of steamed vegetables 375 calories worth! Still enough calories for my bed time hot chocolate.
Another Fast day done, switching days next week to allow for a meal out on Tuesday.
Weigh in tomorrow so fingers crossed

I am just starting my fast, well few hours ago... started later than normal today but I am going to try to eat/drink only a 100 cals tomorrow. Up the stakes as my weight is stable this week! kick start it again, plus side I can start training again from tomorrow! =)

Good luck to everyone still fasting and congrats to all those that have!
