Me fasting today too. I was hoping to have achieved your rate of loss by now Swedey, but I'm very much stuck in the 75kgs :0( I did get 74.6 after last Fridays fast but back again to 75.4 this morning. It is down-heartening to just have about 5kgs overall loss.
Faint heart won no parsnips so onward dear friends, onward.
5th fast for me today. Woken up feeling a little tired and achey and did comtemplate not bothering but have talked myself into it.
Morning everyone, hope you're all wrapped up warm if you're in the snowy wastes of the UK! Also overdid it a bit this weekend (not so much volume but choices of food were a bit indulgent - hot cross buns, pain au chocolats, cookies, wine, delicious buttered bread to go with home made soup....) so am very much up for my first fast of the week. Going to do another bout of C25K on the treadmill after work too, so if nothing else that should warm me up a bit!
My 5th Fast day today - was not very good Saturday but a bit more restrained yesterday!
Got to get out on my bike today as in training for a Paris to London Charity ride but worried I'll be a bit wobbly afterwards...so had a banana to keep me going - I hope. Good luck to everyone else!!
I'm on board today!

Have just come back from a lovely weeks holiday in the Algarve, so nice to escape the snow and soak up the sun for a week! Unfortunately I soaked up a little too much Sangria and delicious Portuguese food, and have come back 1 lb heavier than last week.
Hubby and I have each lost nearly a stone on the 5:2 plan so far. We packed our summer walking trousers for this holiday that we havent worn since last year, only to find that we couldn't walk 10 feet without them falling off! We had to go shopping to buy new belts just to keep our trousers up!

Really looking forward to a cleansing fast day today
Fast day for me today after eating far far far too much at the weekend (easter eggs, Lamb roast, Pizza, Eggs benedict)

I have put on 4lbs from Friday however I know TOM is just around the corner so that will mostly be water.

Hoping to pop to the gym on my way home if I feel ok and not too cold.

Small amount of veg and lamb soup for lunch (homemade) and then Salmon and veg for dinner tonight

Have a good fast everybody
Fasting today and everyone here has norovirus so shouldn't be difficult not eating much!!!

Bought myself some new digital scales so my weigh ins should be more accurate from now on
Im Fasting today too. Ive done 8 or so fasts but losing weight really slowly - 3lbs in about 4 weeks. However 2 inches off my waist which Im pretty pleased with.
Off to gym later. Have to collect DS from school trip at midnight! Could be a little challenging :/

Hope you all feel better soon TartanAli

Happy repair day everyone
Week 12 starts now! Prepping Hairy Dieters cassoulet for dinner, to sit in the slow cooker all day while I help my parents move house. Hopefully I'll be busy enough to not think about food!
Count me in too please fellow fasters. I've also had a rather hight feasting weekend, so am well ready for today. Green pepper soup waiting at home for me tonight....... yum. Good luck everyone
Fast day for me today but not sure how it will go as OH & son around all day as on hols, wish me luck!!
Hi
This is my 2nd week of 5:2 fasting & today I'm starting my 3rd fast. I lost 4lb last week which I thought was a brilliant start :like:

So far I've found the fast days OK, I think knowing I can eat 'normally' the next day & its just for the one day I'm not 'allowed' it makes it easier to do instead of feeling deprived 7 days a week!

I've decided this week that I'll have a ready made calorie counted meal on an evening with some veg, I think that may be easier as its already counted for me, so we'll see what this week brings.

Commiserations...

Fast day for me here too, after, for once, a very good weekend. Mind you, we didn't have a lot of food in, as we were snowed in!!! Managed to dig ourselves out and get veggies yesterday

This way of life is definitely doing us both good! I'm doing a tesco shop online, ready for our Easter trip in the caravan. I ordered a box of red wine, some hot cross buns and some hash browns. Then took them off the order, after I put the calorie counts into My Fitness Pal
So, Weetabix, linseeds, miracle noodles, stir fry and prawns, plus some vodka will be going with us, along with diet pops!! (we do like a Moscow Mule!!)
Quite a few people fasting today - it's really encouraging to read all the other posts in this thread and know I'm not alone.
Today is my 15th fast day and I'm feeling good about it, who'd have thunk it?!
Best of luck everyone, I hope we all have a positive day. Off to make some coffee now!
Fast day for me too - 2nd one! Tummy starting to rumble, think I will have a coffee - not sure what to eat 11 am/lunchtime, the first fast day I had a boiled egg which worked quite well - I have some smoked salmon so maybe scramble an egg to have with it - will have to look up the calories on MFP. Chicken and vegetables for supper :)have a good day everyone!
