Fasting today with you all.

Stuck at work till 8pm tonight, so it will be a late dinner, but hopefully hubby will have it cooked by the time I get home.
Morning break survived by keeping myself busy emptying the dishwasher and tidying the kitchen (I work from home) and now back at my desk sipping my flavoured tea from David's Tea. This stuff is my saving grace I think. So delicious.

Only one tummy rumble so far and that was an hour ago.
I am astounded at how easy I have found my first fast day! I've had 3 cups of peppermint tea (it's now 7.30pm) and I haven't felt hungry or even had a single tummy rumble!

I'm planning on having some veg and perhaps a little couscous for my tea (as my other half needs feeding) but feel I could probably go the whole day with no food. Can't believe it!
Yum, peppermint tea sounds delicious!
I'm fasting today, too. I don't think I can handle waiting until dinner, so I skip breakfast, have a little lunch, and then a small dinner. Today I had a 250 calorie Kimchi soup for lunch. I am sticking to prepared foods today because last time I couldn't quite trust my calorie counting. Also, OH watched the Dr. M show and is joining me for his first fast! Good luck to all!
I wish my OH would join me- mostly so I don't have to see him eating on my fast days!
Today I'm splitting my calories between an early breakfast and a late dinner, so at least we'll be eating together tonight. He even agreed to make a yummy curry quinoa soup for dinner so I'm looking forward to that:-)
After over-eating this weekend I feel so much better having fasted today. I'm really enjoying the 5:2 even though I haven't lost much weight since starting at the end of March, but I do feel great!! Lots of cups of tea (with a small drop of skimmed milk) & a veg stir fry at 6.30 pm today. I haven't got much weight to lose but for me this WOE has so many feel good benefits.
This is my first ever fast day, had a small breakfast of a cereal bar and glass of milk (Which i have to have every morning to take a tablet) and then omlette with salad for tea. Very hungry though, I'm hoping this gets easier! Fasting with you all :)
Hi All, I'm new here. Did my first 2 days (2 x 36 hours) last week and it was surprisingly easy, I did find that I could go without breakfast the next morning. Have lost 1lb and definitely feel lighter. I am really interested in reducing my waistline so am looking forward to joining in with the monthly stats.

I will usually be fasting on Tuesdays and Thursdays but Monday was better for me this week.

I started fasting last night after dinner at about 7pm and just had 1 cup of black tea with milk during the evening. I managed all day today with green tea, had a cup of bovril at lunchtime and another this afternoon. Had all my calories for dinner tonight in this meal;
http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2865 ... re-chicken 171 calories which I served with half an Uncle Bens express rice pouch 185 calories (long grain and wild rice) and stir fried spinach, broad beans and peas with a tiny amount of half fat creme fraiche. I might even treat myself to a 10 calorie jelly and a cup of tea during the evening! Will finish fasting tomorrow morning, approx 36 hours.

Hope you all had a good day
Wow what a lot of fasters! How many calories will we have saved if we added them all together today?
It's gone well for me and I hope for you all too. Tomorrow we can choose a breakfast...the best bit!
Day 1 over and done with, bring on day 2 tomorrow
Another one on a repair day today - low cal evening meal only for me in-between yesterdays late dinner and tomorrow's breakfast.
It is a fast day for me, and as we have a big storm moving in I ended up having to make an emergency run to the grocery stores with my mother and my three daughters. Costco at lunch time was torture! Free samples galore. But oh the bad calories I saved myself from! Grandma also treated to lunch at Wendy's and as I do breakfast/dinner I enjoyed my ice water. But still am so happy to be doing it.
Hope you all did well, it's only going on 4pm for me so I have dinner to come yet. My tummy growled quite a bit this morning and at lunch time but it's been silent since and I'm feeling fine. I think dinner will be a Mahi Mahi filet an a nice salad.
Hi, all! My first fast day - have been waiting nearly a week for an "official start date." I'm a homeschooling mom, and we have a wonderfully beautiful spring day for schooling outside. It's nearly 5pm as I type this, and I can't quite believe it's been as easy as it feels... :) I have a long, long way to go - I'm 40 years old and have bout 100 pounds to drop. My husband celebrated his one year anniversary for his 5 way heart bypass surgery over the weekend, and has become so much more healthy. I'm looking forward to joining him!
