My husband and I should be fasting today but I discovered, when I visited my doctor this morning, that the reason I have felt so unwell all week is that I have had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics I was prescribed last Wednesday.

I have lost four pounds since last Sunday (14th) but I feel no pleasure in the loss because I know that as soon as I start eating again most of that will go back on. I also realise that my very uncharacteristic despondency is due to the allergy and I hate feeling this way! Whinge over!

The good news is that in twelve weeks I have lost 20 pounds and only 3.25 pounds to go to target!

Good luck to everyone fasting today. Wish I was with you! Onwards and downwards!
Fasting here too, and WOW do I need it! I was away for a long weekend with my sister and we ate everything we could get our hands on! Felt really blah this morning and looking forward to fasting.

Had a good boot camp workout to start my day and have had nothing but black coffee & water so far. Onward!

Have a great fasting day everyone!
On my third fast today. I decided to do this one without drinking any fruit juices (because I haven't got any) and I haven't had any bouts of dizziness, I don't know whether its because my body is getting used to the fasting or if the fruit juices were causing my blood sugar to go crazy.

Easiest fast so far, after a weekend of eating it's definitely welcomed!
Count me in too, seventh fast for me, weather changed and its got colder, has an effect on my hunger. Must keep busy, good luck everone fasting today.
Just home from work
fast day going well so far
a little grumpy with people at work but doubt it was because of not eating
Its my 7th fast today too Rosyjan, and im back from work too Jacksati so lets keep going.
Fasting today here on the west coast of Canada! It's a beautiful day here today and I'm working at the office (rather than at home as I normally do) It's the first time I've done a fasting day at the office, so we'll see how it goes!
My goodness there's a lot of fasters today. Looks like whole forums fasting
It's the start of week 13 & it's fast 30. They're much easier now - mind you I'm eating 10cal jelly while waiting for tea to cook - hungry! :starving:
Well it is 6-45pm so supper time at last. My day went well with changing my winter clothes over to summer & packing things away. Best of all I have found some summer trousers I can get into now, bought last year in hope rather than expectation. Just off to make scrambled egg with smoked salmon for supper followed with a banana because I am trying to reduce my level of carbs on fast days.
Hi,
I am fasting here in Canada. This morning I weighed myself for the first time since starting (I am only 1 week - 2 fasts in) and there wasn't any change in my weight. This was very discouraging. I am fasting today but not feeling nearly as good about it as I did last week. I am hoping it isn't a waste of effort.

An impromptu fast day for me today as I realised I wouldn't have time to have lunch so thought I may as well!

Sally I have done two weeks and there was virtually no change after the 1st week but then after the 2nd week I had lost 4kg....I think it was a delayed reaction.

Stick with it! I know seeing no weight loss on the scales can be discouraging but go by how your clothes feel and how you feel, scales don't always show the whole truth.

Just put my dinner in the oven, fish and rice, cannot wait!
Hope everyone's fast day has gone well or is going well. I'm doing better on this fast (#15), I think because I didn't overeat on sugar yesterday, which I noticed makes a difference for me beyond just carbs. Will have a salad and Mahi filet for dinner. I'm not too hopeful the scale will be nice though, overall I think I ate too much over the weekend. I need to remind myself to eat more sensibly and be mindful and disciplined.
I'm in today too! I have been stuck at the same weight for a couple of weeks now, I'm trying to tweak what I eat and exercise more. Hopefully the scale will start to go back down-
1st fast of fast diet week 2, such good weight loss & waist reduction on my 1st week that I've been motivated :0). Just finished 40 mins (10.8 miles) on the exercise bike and now for my chicken salad (about 250 calories) then bed because I've had a crappy day and have given myself 1 day to feel sorry for myself and then tomorrow's another day!

It so great to have this site because I was trying to explain 5:2 to my mum yesterday and the more I explained the more it sounded like a fad, even to me!! But reading some posts last night and today has snapped me out if that and I'm back on board! The best thing is this site has replaced my Facebook addiction which is definitely another loss I'm happy with ;0)

Happy fasting all...
