Thanks emsy, the last forecast I looked at (BBC weather)said warm and sunny so fingers crossed
I'm in....JUST :starving: I just had a very close shave with breakfast in the kitchen, I started justifying that I could put my fast off until tomorrow but knowing how that would make me feel put me off. I've done that the last 2-3 weeks, given up and put it off to another day, but I'm fed up of doing that now because it feels like failure. Right before I started foraging in the fridge I had been thinking about something quite difficult and so I think I may have been looking to self-soothe, or for a distraction. Actually, recognising that and then coming on here has really helped. It's going to be challenging today but the drive to get my first fast of the week done sooner rather than later will get me through :like:
I'm in today - I'm in my fifth week and it's becoming second nature to me. DH is noticing the change in my shape and he's said he's really proud of me. I'm hoping this will persuade him to join me - he has more to lose than I do...

I'm going to try to have real food tonight instead of my usual M&S ready meal. I haven't got anything planned yet, which is a little dangerous, because I always arrive home from work raveonous. But I do know we have eggs and courgettes in the fridge, so if all else fails I can make an omelette with that.

I'm slightly dreading my weigh-in tomorrow as I've been doing the 30 day shred and everyone who has done it says it can make you gain weight, especially at first, as you put on muscle. But even if I do, I will also be measuring myself on Thursday, after my first full week of the shred, and I'm pretty confident that will show some positive changes.

Apparently Accuweather is more accurate than the BBC.

Good for you chichi !
I love the idea of you dodging around the kitchen trying to get away from breakfast. Keep it up. :clover:
I'm in for today. I usually do a Monday and Thursday but yesterday hubbie had a day off work and we fancied going out for lunch so we just swapped our days around - how liberating! To be honest I am not hungry at all yet and lots to do today so don't think I will bother eating til evening meal with the family. I have had a 3 week plateau so I am desperate for the scales to move this week! Good luck all!!
Me too.
First fast of the week.
It always feels good to get the first one under your belt I think.
I started in January, so don't even think about it anymore.
Trying to break the 65 kg barrier and get down to 64 for the start of my hols and my 60th birthday in the middle of June.
Good luck everyone fasting today.

Maybe I will just put in a weather report on Friday, if that is when trip is. Normally it should be baking in Madrid at this time of year. However I heard that Thursday everything is going to change. Here's hoping. Good thing is Madrid is fab hot or cold.
It is bizarre .I am not hungry as such, but I am feeling foodie. I have just brought littleun home from nursery and this is when I have a snack. I have made another green tea and am going to get out of way when hubby gets home for lunch.

Great goal all the best of luck!!! :like: :clover:
I am on my third fast today.. absolutely STARVINGGG!!
Got motivation this morning when i went for my weigh in.. I have lost 5lbs on my first week of the 5:2 diet! I know it is a lot too loose on my first week, but it has given me great drive to keep this diet up.
I have read from others that the first week seems to be the week you loose the most, so I am not expecting much weight loss next week. Needless to say I am happy with my results so far.

Happy fasting today everyone..Cant wait for some food tomorrow
I am on a fast day too. Did Sunday and am doing today as off on holiday tomorrow so the rest of the week I won't be calorie counting. Had another smoothie from the Emily Hanson book earlier today (138 calories). I find smoothies do fill me up and keep me going until my evening meal. Best of luck to everyone else today.
On my second fast day today and so far feeling fine :) Just tucked into my lunch and decided only to have half of it, although the other half is looking good..... Think I'll keep it for if I get desperate. I'm definitely feeling strong enough to do 4:3 instead, I just feel that the rhythm will suit me better than 5:2. I'm feeling really excited today about this WoE, just have a nice night level of happy going on. Hope everyones day is good! X
I'm in today too. Week 3...
Had a brilliant first week, a very shaky 2nd week only really managing 1.5 due a couple of poorly days.
Feeling positive today and I have lost 5.5lbs since starting so MUST carry on
