Fasting today Tuesday May 21
20 May 2013, 21:02
Well here we go again. I am fasting after 4 days of feeding. My stomach is calling out for a fast! Had coffee on rising as per and then a cup o veg soup. Bit tired, not enough sleep, plus have been feeling really tired all weekend - maybe a lurgy? Anyway have a quiet work day and hope to be home by 2.45, so should be a good fast day. Good luck all.
Thanks to being in the UK, I've not gone to bed yet but I too will be fasting on Tues 21st! My second fast, all meals planned already and I'm actually looking forward to it :)
Oh my I didn't see this Post. Well I'm in too...#9 bit more difficult in colder brisbane
I'm fasting today, too. So far so good. I'll hit the wall at 4pm, I imagine. I have a long meeting this afternoon, so that will be a good distraction. Or as I said about the last meeting, the hunger will be a welcome distraction from the boring meeting. I'm trying not to let last week's weight gain get me down. I've just got to keep plugging away at it...
Two fasting threads... which one to choose?

About to go into a technical rehearsal for a show that I am doing lighting design/operation. It's going to be stressful but at least my mind will be kept off the idea of food!!!
Well it's now 1pm in Sydney and I'm over the half way mark - sometimes my tummy rumbles like a freight train, but today I am feeling pretty good. Lots of black coffee, dogs all walked (except mine to do when I get home) and on train & will be home early about 2.15. So far so good. Good luck everyone. Ferdi what's the show u r working on?
GMH, my university is doing a production of Twelfth Night entitled
"Twelfth Night as performed by the Illyria Women's Prison Laundry Detail"
It's partially recontextualised but with an entire set transformation half-way through. There are about 12 cast members and heaps of crew. Tech rehearsals with this many people sitting around tend to elicit lots of waiting around and groaning, but personally I love them. It's all about the lighting and sound and techie stuff, and not about the actors for once!

(GMH, if you happen to be out near the mountains any time next week you should come see the show :P)
Yep, I'm in as well. Really happy and motivated today. Good luck to all of you!
I'm trying it again today. Did well with my first fast, but sabotaged myself on my second. I really need to prove to myself that I can do this. I'm worried that if I keep failing on fast days I'm going to quit attempting this WOE altogether.

Now I need to go plan out how I'm going to eat today... I think I'll try leaving most of my calories for dinner. That seems scary, but a lot of people here do say its easier...
I'm in, up early here in France, today, thanks to our ? Senile cat who insisted on yowling before going out to sleep the day away in our neighbours barn!
Being up so early will make my fasting day seem longer, already on my second hot water with lemon juice, but am saving my 400 calories for the cauliflower cheese I'm making for tonight's dinner. DH fasted yesterday due to eating out with friends today.
I have a busy day planned so don't see too many problems....says she!!
Have a good one, everyone
I am nearly through my Tuesday 21 May fast day...I am new to this forum but this is about week 7 doing 5:2. I am struggling today almost as much as my Fast Day #1 seven weeks ago. Not sure why....think I have lost a bit of motivation and been overcompensating on my non-fast days recently, which has made me feel a bit "over it". I started at 5'9" and 67kg, I think I have lost about 2kg overall. Need another burst of motivation!
Good Morning Fasters

I'm fasting today and like lornameg I woke much too early.

Its a cold miserable looking day here in SE England, but we are off to Madrid for a few days at the weekend so I plan to spend some time today rummaging in the darker corners of my wardrobe for suitable clothes that fit. (is there ever a time when you AREN'T between sizes?)

I'll be keeping most of my calories for dinner tonight, chilli for the family and a portion of my quorn and veg chilli that I froze from last week.

Good Luck everyone :clover:
Hi! I and my daughter are both in today. 30g porridge oats made with water to start with. I can't do without my two cups of tea -with milk - to get me up and about. 7th fast day and we both did well the first two weeks, not so good last week. Got a bit too confident? Anyway we'll have a good go today.

Good luck everyone! :clover:
I'm in - changed from usual Monday and Thursday to try 4:3 this week, so fasted Sunday and will do today and Thursday. I hope this will give me a boost in weight loss.
