I'm in today - didn't do any other fast except for Tuesday last week and the scales reading increased a little on this morning's weigh in from last week so I need a fast, might even do liquid only. I'll maybe do another fast on Thursday too.
I'm fasting today too :-) working from home all day today though, so feel it might be tough! Good luck everyone! X
I would normally be in as its monday but its bank holiday. Hmmm....to fast or not to fast?
Hey all I am fasting with a hangover. And if that wasn't enough torture, I'm working from home, other half wants to eat out and I wanted to try my first liquid fast.im going on hols on thurs to USA for 2weeks so can only fast mon and we'd this week. Otherwise I would skip and do tues &thurs.i really want to start liquid fasting as I'm getting nowhere on 5:2 prob coz I only have about 5lbs to lose. I think water only is going to be too hard with a hangover so gonna stick to oxo tea and maybe a protein shake with water if I get really hungry. Anyone else think that's ok for a liquid fast?
My husband and I are fasting today, our usual day. The Bank Holiday has little impact on us as we're both semi-retired, so it's just like any other day. We've been following this WOE since the end of January and have both lost good amounts, despite our fifteen day cruise, which piled weight back on and which we are still having to re-lose! (Is that even a real word?) We'll follow our usual pattern of plenty of liquids, one meal this evening and keeping very busy, busy, busy!

Good luck everyone! Onwards and downwards!
I'm in today, it will be a little bit different since I'm off work today. I normally fast on work days. Good Luck everyone :clover:
My 5th fast today and not too bad at all. I just had my dinner, which was the excellent veg casserole from the recipe thread, which I made last week and froze the extra. Good luck for those that are at the other end of the day.
Lads I couldn't do it. Raging with myself.stupid alcohol. I will do it tomoro.any tips for going on hols?
I'm in today. It started well as I slept in really late (bank holiday and first day of week off). It's going to be a challenge today, I have an essay to write so my concentration levels have to be good and I haven't really planned my day's food intake like I usually do. Tonight I have a salad at 110 cals with a chicken breast and a low cal marinade I haven't come up with yet. I need to figure that out then see what it leaves me with. I shall leave enough cals for my mini milk dessert as usual. I'm hoping there is enough free cals for a high protein yoghurt and a big bowl of strawberries but I need to get the calories book and pen and paper out.

I may even try fasting and exercise for the first time today if I'm brave enough, I have a brand new rowing machine :)
9pm and I'm off to bed..And ended up to be an interesting successful fasting day

Had a bad start as I had 400 cal lunch at 12 which I never do as I only have dinner. I went for a walk and burnt over 400 cals..and no dinner in the end!
A good feeling!
It's a holiday here in the US and I've pondered postponing till tomorrow but I'm going to give it a try. Hubby is home today and he's started doing 5:2 so between the two of us hopefully we can keep each other accountable. It's just easier to fast if I'm at work than at home where the fridge is full of food.
Because of the bank hol I was undecided. Just making lunch for the family and it has made me decide. I'm out. Would be a shame not to join them. Will eat light today and maybe join in tomorrow. Good luck everyone
KataMac wrote: I'm fasting too, just had a cup of rooibos to warm up a bit, cold even if the sun is out. Not quite as cold as you Susiewong! (Just checked and it's 18 degrees, so I suppose I shouldn't moan)

It was about 18 deg here at weekend too. So everyone here seemed to be outside down at the beach enjoying the WARM weather and having ice cream!

I'm in today, as usual. Feeling a bit fed up and tired. Jury's out as to whether that's because I've had so much extra to do at work or because my thyroxin dose was lowered. I hope the first. Will have to see...

Will get there anyway - although the days are dragging a little.
Almost 11pm. I'm back from choir practce and have had a piece of toast with Vegemite (no butter) and a coffee with the last of my calorie allowance. Just run through next month's solo and now I should be calm enough for bed. Goodnight all!
Hello !

Not eaten for the moment, hope I can still wait.
Proud of it.
