I'm on board too :-)
Not losing this week - my scales and the stats for the earlier weeks are showing that this is a plateau and it will probably last for another week. And then it will start moving again :-)
Have a good fast day out there!
I'm in today had an easy fast at work and just had a yummy dinner of small jacket potato with cottage cheese, tomato, onion and avocado salsa plus 2 roast field mushrooms. Feeling full now. Have a good fasting Thursday everyone.
Yum pilchards can I come to your place for dinner :)
On fast day today too!

Really need to be good today. Scales not doing as I had hoped. Had half a bowl of porridge and coffee now, soup for lunch, salad for dinner! Fingers crossed those afternoon cravings don't get me.

Good luck to all today.
First ever blog on this site and any site. In fifth week of 5:2 and really seeing a difference. Fasting for consecutive 2 days to give try this week. Good comments from colleagues which is giving me an extra boost - keep the faith everyone!!
Count me in today! It's a grey chilly day and I'm struggling to stay positive, but I know this is the way forward. Had grapefruit and Rice Krispies for breakfast; King Prawn Bhuna and a mini Peshwari naan lined up for lunch. That leaves me 140 calories for supper - decisions, decisions!
I'm in!

Feeling quite up for it today - yesterday was a feast day and I was so surprised at how much more quickly I felt full when eating my normal portions. Spurring me on for today. So far just a coffee, then home made red pepper soup for lunch and a tuna salad for dinner.

Good luck everyone!
I'm fasting today too bit trickier as only had one normal day since my last fast but am away for 4 days tom so needs to be done! Really hoping to lose by end of the week as have gained or stayed the same the last two weeks.
I'm in today - on my usual Thursday routine at the office - coffee with skim milk, lots of water, maybe a Diet Coke in the afternoon, then home for dinner (probably an omelette from the Hairy Dieters book) and my usual fast-day "pudding" of an apple smeared with peanut butter. DH will try to get me to join him for a glass of wine and I will refuse. Then 30 Day Shred and at least one episode of The West Wing on my iPad and bed. Then I'm done for the week.
Fasting today too - fast nearly over . Thursday's fasts so far easier than Monday's, don't know why . . :-)
Hi everyone,
I too do a Thursday fast and this is my second fast day - started this plan on Monday (first day of fasting). I have to say I have found it amazingly easy so far. I fast until lunchtime, and even then haven't been particularly hungry. Then evening meal around 7.30pm. I have had salad mix, with a boiled egg and 150gms of smoked salmon for my lunches and tonight some fish and veg. Yummo!!
Afternoon all, i'm on my second fast day today.

Found my first day really easy and to be honest, i'm not hungry today either. I am however, feeling really fed up... which is when i usually reach for something to "cheer me up" However, i don't feel the need to so am quite pleased with myself ;)

Is this a normal experience, feeling a bit low?
I'm fasting today. Today is feeling really long and slow. Probably because the kids are being urchins and it's half term.

Baked sweet potato for dinner, with ham ends and a bit of cream cheese, and salad.

And then my hardcore, heart-gargling workout class. Which I can't wait for. An hour without having to deal with tantrums, snotty noses and pooey nappies, AND I get to hula hoop as well. WOO!

I feel a bit low of fasting days too, though, I am not a great person to ask as I am on the happy pills for depression anyway. But it wouldn't surprise me if feeling a bit low was common.
10th fast today, it's come around quicker as we swapped Monday to Tuesday.
Don't usually feel hungry in the mornings and just eat a late lunch then dinner but today I was starving!

Had a stick of celery with 5g peanut butter smeared in (warning - weigh it!), and a bit of cottage cheese on top, which was strangely tasty and satisfying for 45 cals.
Now cooking a simple soup - celery and celeriac, with a bit of carrot as it was leftover. Will add to the recipe board with the celery soup recipe once I've tasted it
Tonight will be a big frittata for the two of us, with asparagus and courgette, probably red pepper, maybe even a small potato, and parmesan sprinkled on top.
Haven't worked out the cals yet but there's part of a carton of passata so if enough I might make a spicy tomato sauce to have with it
