I'm in today as well. Fast #16, completing second month with 5:2. Going well, no issues with fast days and welcome them as part of my schedule. Very pleased with over well feeling and weight loss, I sense I'm hitting a plateau as I near my goal. Will be having Labs in the next month, optimistic about going off statin since I am already at the lowest dose prescribed.... Have a great fast day everyone !
I'm going to give it a shot even though I'm frustrated today and really don't want to fast.
I'm in, too! Sunny day, but I'm at work...

Hang in there nodakmom!

Take Care all!
Hi I'm new here. Fabulously sunny day in Dublin (a rare occasion) but I am fasting so no BBQ or beers for me. I got in a 15km walk this morning and just had strawberries and raspberries for breakast. Then for lunch I had a big salad with chorizp and made my own goujons with exta light homemade garlic mayo. It was very tasty but that is all I will have now until breakfast tomorrow. :) Need to keep busy this evening. I have tried a few different ways of spending my 500 cals but I read that the longer you fast for the better.

I'm in Dublin too, and was just remarking on what a beautiful sunny day it is today! I'm American, and my OH always laughs at how surprised I always sound on days like this. :) I'm working from home (with the door open) and trying to stay busy today Everytime I get the munchies, I go for a walk around the house with the dog!
I'm in too. This is my 9th fast and my 4th week. The scales go up and down and to be honest yesterday and Tuesday were days when I know I went over the 2000 cal limit. However, today is another day. The fasts do get easier and a lot of the time I dont even think about the fact that I have no food to eat til later. Looking forward to my dinner tonight. Good luck all. :like:
Still fasting, even after spending 4 hours over lunch at the Trafford Centre (mall) and feeding the kids there. For lunch I had a bucket of black coffee which I was told had 27 calories in it. How they get calories into black coffee I'll never know!

Thank goodness today is nearly over and there are no more holidays for 7 weeks
Count me in with the "Fasters" today! I have to make it a good one as I'm off for a long weekend to attend a posh wedding. I'm sure wonderful food & drink will be part of the experience! I'm going to enjoy each & every bite/sip!

I'll be having my standard Greek yogurt around 2....then a protein shake before heading for a pedicure. Not cooking dinner tonight, so hubby is on his own whilst I get my toes prettied up for my open toe fancy shoes!

Have a great day!
Was fasting today but managed to fall off the wagon. :( Wasn't feeling it at all today. Did fine with lunch and breakfast. And was in a meeting with a bowl of celebrations chocolates in front of me. And since i was having major cravings and no motivation, i gave in and had about 6 chocolates!!

Oh dear. So i guess i have to fast tomorrow. On Friday :(
My husband and I have started calling Fast days our "Miso Appreciation Day" If you haven't already discovered miso soup there are many different varieties that have 35 calories per serving and they're delicious. We like the Kikkoman brand.
Hi all

I was going to start a 24 hour fast last night after an earlyish dinner, but then had some chocolate in the evening so have decided to just fast today instead. Very unusually for me I have felt largely fine and not hungry - could be (tmi alert!) due to not having 'been' this morning (a rare occurance for me!) and so felt like I still all of yesterday's food still lurking inside me.

I had 100g low fat greek yogurt with 60g blueberries around 11.30 and a couple of thin oatcakes at around 2.30. Out at friends' this evening and am considering not having tea so I can have a couple of biscuits (which I WILL be offered!) & still be in my 500cals. Usually ravenous by now but not tonight. Maybe my body's finally getting used to this. Will probably have some salad & try to use up some of the cottage cheese I bought for fast days and then realised how much I disliked it!
I've been fasting today too .. day 26 as this is my 13th week. Found today hard despite being very busy at work and it was only the thought that I didn't want to 'break the chain' of regular Monday and Thursday fasts thats kept me on the strait and narrow today. No food as yet, just black tea, coffee and water but have dinner nearly ready. I'm finding reserves of self control that I never thought I had. Which is a completely different sort of benefit to weight loss and other health benefits of this WOE.
And a lot of that is from reading the posts here and learning how so many of you are tackling the same challenge. So thanks, everyone
Greenmonster.......mix a dab of sugar free jam or jelly in the cottage cheese. That's about the only way I can eat it....give it a try!
Well I had a great fast day and to the surprise of my family I didnt turn into the hulk between 4-6pm which seem to be the worst time of day for me usually even cooking them dinner no problem. Had my satay turkey and is was yum and I didn't eat all my steam veggies so I would be well under my 500 cals for today after going over 500 cals and generally feeling not great on Mondays fast day I've been amazed at what a difference a couple of days can be like. So for all those who today wasn't great dont give up your next fast day might be a good one
Fasted today despite having visitors. We had home made soup with home made bread for lunch, only I didn't have any bread so that was fine. Then lovely big oranges for afters, no cake today!
My friend and I had an active time outdoors carriage driving with my pony who has just been broken for this, great fun!
So socialising and fasting can mix. Nearly bed time now and that's another one done, number 46 I think?
