Hi

Fasting today as well. Just been really busy at work so never got a chance to login this morning. So far so good. Feeling fine, that bottle of sparkly water really helps me. :heart:

Trying not too think about food at present but might have to have a snack. Dinner is still too long to go. Snacks are ok as long as they are counted in aren't they? :?: Not sure, this is only week 3 so still getting the hang of it. OH joined me today. Should make life easier. :clover:

Im also fasting today feeling a bit rough with an headache really cold just generally yucky and looking forward to my meal ,I hav'nt had anything yet except water and 1 cup of tea I checked my blood glucose level it was 4.8 so that was good Im not diabetic but do like to keep an eye on it roll on food time :)
I'm in too, absolutely freezing again today. Whatever happened to 'Flaming June?!' Hope you're all having a good one :)
Oh yeah, fast today and it was my weigh in as well. Stayed the same last week so pleased with the 2 lb loss. Third time this has occured so I don't get alarmed when I maintain.

Walked 10 miles on Saturday morning, 5 on Sunday morning, and 4 before work this morning, woo hoo!
nearly there now! Found it easier than I thought it would today. Going to be daring tonight as I'm having sushi for the first time. Hope I like it or I could be going to bed a very hungry girl!!
I'm in today too. Had some soup for a snack at 4pm - yes, I know it's meant to be summer. I've not been too hungry as I've been kept busy - we have a new puppy in the house and our older dog needs lots of cuddles too !
Our local supermarket were giving away big bars of Toblerone when you spent over £40 last week - guess where mine went ? Oh no, now I'm thinking about chocolate again ! Good luck all ! :oops:

I'm new to the Forum-hello! :dance:

I am fasting today. I do mine on Mondays and Wednesdays.

I have had a small salad, and then a slightly bigger salad and then i will burn it all off and them some at my spinning session!

I am also getting interested in the 16:8 plan and thinking of combining the two.

Look forward to sharing lots of hints and tips :grin:

This is my first fast day and so far I have found it not too difficult. I've been building up to this for a week after reading the book. Watched the programme again last night and woke up this morning not a bit hungry.......hope the rest of my fast days follow this pattern!
:starving: Today has not been a good day. I woke up hungry and it just kept going. By 11am I knew it wasn't happening for me today so I switched the plan to half fasting 1000 calories total. I'm sticking with that and I'm STILL hungry!!!

Looking forward to checking out the turkey burgers from the 5:2 cookbook tonight with a big salad.

I used to beat myself up massively for every little failure but I'm learing to accept that some days it's just not going to happen and I have to let it go and move on.
I'm also fasting today. It's sweltering heat here in Washington DC. It's too hot to go running so worked out at the gym instead. Just finished a large salad with tuna for lunch. I plan on having an omelette with lots of veggies for dinner.

I've also started on the 16:8 plan last week and it's so far been a breeze. :like:

Well my OH & I have just had our supper of scrambled eggs & smoked salmon which was enjoyable after coffee & water all day. I have rounded it off with a nectarine & OH has had natural yoghurt with a banana, so all within our fasting calorie allowances. Hope your day went well particularly new fasters. I'm hoping a weigh in tomorrow morning will reflect a weight loss. :smile:
fasting again today. I have found having no breakfast works for me. I think I do go over the 500 cals but no by much. Am drinking green tea to stop me wanting any snacks having just finished tea. had to do a food shop today whilst starving but managed to stick to my small list. I bought very quick to prepare veg and mash together with sausages to feed me and the two kids. Youngest has made a jelly he found in the cupboard but is such a pig he will probably eat it all.!

Probs an early night for me!
I had a 3 eggs omelette with spinach and a law fat fromage frais for dessert and, for the first time since I fast, I don't feel full. So I guess I will have to find another meal for dinner next time because I think it doesn't fit me
