Oh, and how much I will eat Tuesday: as much as I can!

Thursday of last week was a feed day between two fasts, and I absolutely gorged myself, having a huge breakfast and going to an all you can eat buffet. Out of curiosity, I added up my calories and it turned out to be 2000. My TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) is 1800 kcal.

The funny thing is, this way of eating accustoms you to go for foods that are dense in nutrition and as filling as possible (at least if you've started out with the traditional 5:2 allowance of 500 kcal on fast days), your stomach shrinks, and your sense of when you are no longer hungry is sharpened so you don't feel the need to eat until you are full.
Hi everyone
just back from work; going OK so far but rather tried after a birthday weekend at silverday - put on a few pounds :frown:
Hopefully todays fasts will put me back on track and I will be able to lose a little on Thursday.

Good luck to all you fasters; it will be an early night for me.
Hi jacksati, hope you had a great weekend, with any luck and some fast of course you'll be back on track quickly.

I've been working today so it's going ok. At home now about to get ready for a pilates class and I have to say I feel quite hungry.
Going well today. I'm home a bit earlier than usual tonight as I had the afternoon off work, and went to the hairdressers, which was a lovely distraction. But now the evening feels a bit long. I'll get the youngest sorted on his homework, then find something good to watch on TV
Hi all

Never done a 36 hour liquid fast before and, given that its 6pm and I feel fine, I might just see if I can carry on til bedtime - it's only a few hours away!

I have had a coffee with about 50 ml milk, a miso soup and an options hot choc so far (as well as non-calorific drinks) so will be well under 200 cals if I have no dinner. I might keep a couple of oatcakes on standby in case I need something to help me sleep. A glass of warm almond milk (26 cals) might also help stop me feeling hungry.

I'm still not ruling out having the veggie sausage stir fry so I may need to back out of the thread but will let you know if I've made it to bedtime food-free!
Let us know greenmonster - but its a good fast either way !
Aarrgghh! I'm feeling really hungry! Any suggestions? Thinking of a cup of tea to head off the pangs.
The tea worked  I blame my husband, he fried some onion off and the smell...yum!
Food smells are the biggest hazard on fast days. So pleased everyone had eaten here before I got home
Food smells really don't help. Try and feed them stuff you don't particularly like, although that doesn't always work either.
I'm freezing! Am making a hot water bottle to cuddle with, shame it can't be my partner but I'm not really speaking to him, not sure if he's even aware, damn him and my own lack of will power for keeping cross! It takes so much effort! Early to bed for me to read game of thrones!
Nearly there everyone! Welcome greenmonster, that's how I started 36hr liquid fasts, I realised one day I wasn't hungry!
You've set me off mariposa - just made a HWB for my feet while I watch telly.
Aww Mariposa - wish I could cuddle my husband but he's working away so I have to wait til thursday :( - go give your man a cuddle, life's too short to bear a grudge!

I've made it to 8.45 and I still feel ok. A few grumbles but nothing too alarming. I've had a glass of almond milk and I might have a warm one with a couple of oatcakes as a bit of supper - not technically a liquids only fast so we'll see. I'm amazed I haved lasted a whole day without food and have not caved in! Noticed I've been clenching/grinding my teeth a bit which is becoming a more noticeable thing especially on fast days - trying to break the habit before it forms but I fear I may be too late. :(
Ahhhh...but you don't know what he did!! No forgiveness anytime soon as it's the same old thing happening over and over! Finally I am taking a (undetectable) stand! Ha, ha!
Hot water bottle is amazing!
I'm with you mariposa - we still love our men but they need to know when they've done wrong.

I'm also freezing so I'm off for a bath to warm up.
