Ps can I have diet coke ? x
I don't like coke at all, some people say no- others drink it on fast days- I would say if it helps to keep you going- go for it especially if you are new to fasting- you can always cut it out after the first few fasts. There are threads on the subject somewhere-some pro, some anti so as it is calorie free and there are no rules re the info and make your choice.
Now not sure whether to a) try to stick with it and just have no-calorie drinks and no food (other people will be eating so that would require iron willpower); b) go home and have a sensible dinner before going to the pub and having either no-calorie drinks or just a couple of regular drinks; c) abandon fast, have dinner and drinks with everyone else and try to fast again tomorrow.
Today has gone really well I've drank lots of water and I am peeing for England mind lol. Not really felt hungry which is a first so water defiantly helps xxx
So, yesterday was not a fast day, I ate & drank normally
Today I have had 500 cals max
Tomorrow I will eat 'normally' again
That actally puts the fasting period at closer to 36 hours
Hope that makes sense.
P.S. why are there SO many food programs on a Monday

After automatically licking the bowl I realised that my fast is just not going to happen today so switching to tomorrow now. First time I've switched mid fast and I'm not sure what possessed me to think I'd cope anyway! Oh, apologies for mentioning cake on the fast thread as well
I totally empathise. I had 200 calories today and then went to a reception where decent and chilled white wine was served - somewhat of a rarity! Three glasses later (hic) but enjoying a light supper and seeing this evening as a wee blip rather than a disaster. Sadly I have another three work do's to go to this week so it may be a challenge but at least I can restrict intake overall and focus on being healthy
The oddest thing I have found is that, since I am a terrible dieter and have always failed at other types (where you have to deny yourself good food for more then 24 hours at a time!), whilst I am feeling hungry just now I have absolutely no desire to ruin my fast day this far in. Normally I'd be grizzly and sneaking in a chocolate about now! My husband is a lot more disciplined at this type of thing, once he gets going. Not tonight for me though (and I didn't crack on any of my previous two fast days last week).
Good luck all for the rest of the night - will be back fasting on Wednesday (whilst trying to be good at a colleague's leaving lunch - it's a tough week with birthdays and leaving dos aplenty this week but determined to shoehorn another fast in!)
Good luck y'all!
I felt like I needed this little extra boost to get back to my low weight from before the holiday, birthday, wedding, houseguest craziness that has been my life for the last two weeks. I'm back on track and may do another egg fast on Wednesday if the results of tomorrrow's weigh in are good.
