Why DOES that happen? What is in us that can undo so much good work that we were just SO happy with? I still think fasting is the way to go and this is definitely the longest I've ever bean with one particular way of eating. Its good to have a goal and mine is to be much slimmer when my sister brings her family over from Canada in June next year. Not long really but hopefully I can get real trim. A runner bean rather than my current baked bean physisque!

What a horrid day. Don't think the girls will want to go out in this. They'll just be blown away. No, I think they're much happier munching their bones!

YAY YAY THE BEAN IS BACK THE BEAN IS BACK. Great to see you helping others on the forum Lovely.,
What s for dinner for you today. Has it bean?
Will you be updating your tracker you cheeky little thing or are you waiting to get back to that lovely low you got to before?

Still waiting for my BMI to go green.
I'm making a veg by stealth chicken curry for tomorrow, salmon tonight with probably cauliflower cheese. Only got half a cauli so may bulk it with other veg and say it's a gratin. Ooh that's a good idea.

Thanks @matcatlady and @carieoates. You've probably noticed my absence yesterday  er, as you can probably guess I didn't quite get around to the whole, er, fasting business! Somebody, I can't remember who, wrote a piece about fasting back to back (supposed to speed up weight loss?) well I thought I'd try fasting on Wednesday and Thursdays and then maybe follow Slimming World's ideas (small piece of bread and cheese OR milk per day. The milk and cheese used to slip me up because as you know I used to love breakfasts and so couldn't have cheese if I'd had milk!) Anyway, I'm rambling now. I'm just trying to get myself into a better regime. My sister is visiting in June next year. I just HAVE to be ready for her and the tribe!
How's your day going so far?

Hello there.

I have to admit that I'm a little bit disappointed. Thought you were going for it again. Anyhoo
That's your business, but if you need some encouragement. I will give it to you in bucket loads.
Yes good fats hesterday, I've undone the weekends naughties so hoping for a new number come this weekends weigh in.
Wow half way through the Xmas challenge and I'm not quite on target. But I want this more than ever.

I've started Xmas shopping got two presents, some cards, wrapping paper, tags, kitchen calendar. Oh and a cute Xmas jumper , shoes for hubs and a jacket. They're not Xmas stuff though. They sneaked into my online basket some how. It was 20% off so had to be done thanks Mrs and Mrs Spencer.

Online shopping bean......
This time last year I'd almost finished as I was having surgery 4th dec. still can't believe its been a year.
So what do I have to do to get you sorted out my dear. You lose so much faster than me due to my exercise. Why not join me on MFP - carieoates. We can help each other in private.

come on @nursebean - do you need some tough love cos you can have that if it would help!

Just think every day you don't do this properly is a day you cheat yourself away from that next pound loss..........

You don't want to be desperately trying to lose ahead of your sister's visit - you want to be comfortably maintaining by then and you could be if you set your mind to it.

Come on - no excuses! <waving big stick>!!!

Thanks @Matcatlady I really need that stick! And Oatsey I just can't BELIEEVE its nearly a year since your op! Blimey Charlie where does the time go?!!

Well I've had a wake-up call this morning thats for sure. As I am intending to fast today I thought I'd weigh myself and start properly again. What met my eyes was chilling. Blimey, its difficult writing this. Are you sitting down? 12 stone 2! Aaaaghhhh! what have I bean doing?!! Especially when I managed to get to 10:13. What have I bean thinking?

Anyway, I could sit around feeling sorry for myself or I could get back on that blinkin horse (so to speak) and REEEALLLY make an effort this time! Oatsey? I definitely need you and I will be heading over to the MFP site shortly.

Ok, so fasting today and tomorrow and inbetween I'll be 16:8 ing, trying to do yoga, walking the girls and just eating sensibly. You're right MadCat I should be maintaining by June, not heading there. D'you think I can be a reasonable weight by June? If i fast just 2 days a week?

This is one helluva naughty Bean signing out

Well done Bean. I know you won't like this but you need to update your tracker. I seriously believe that seeing the new downward trend will motivate you. Either that or a graph at home.
Yes I will befriend you on MFP a pleasure my dear.

Hello bean, was wondering how your fast went today?
Anything nice from Mark and Spencer to eat?

Good to have you back on board @nursebean - even if the boat sits a little lower in the water with that weight you've put on (only joking!)!

I know it's hard but after I went off piste earlier in the year I put my increased weight in the tracker - spoils it a bit but I think it's quite a good reminder if you're wavering on a bad day as to what happens if you let things slide (literally!). It's a question of getting a balance between beating yourself up and being realistic/kind to yourself. Sounds like you have formulated a good plan - we'll help you stick to it!

Oh dear it's not going well. I'm really struggling and just CANT get back into it. I'm think the best thing is for me to slope off and return when I've got my mojo back (I don't want to be on old miz on here!) I will keep an eye on you all and hope to return refreshed and ready for action. Keep my place warm Oatsey!

Bean slopes off...
