But I hate the scales, they stick to places where no scales should stick

Nail varnish idea @Ballerina?
As long as there are no fish scales then any colour will do although it must be said that I am VERY boring and conservative when it comes to colours for both myself and my home....black and white all the way for me

100 yer old man ... Etc is by Jonas Jonasson and thanks to @Sarajaynevz for suggesting it! Hope it's not a long one!

But there's no reason why you shouldn't pick one of the others if you really want to ... Or continue reading 'The Luminaries' ...
Thanks @Silverdarling and @Sarajaynevz x x
I've never looked at the book club before. I'm not much of a reader but I do have my moments. I prefer my kindle as no-one knows what I'm reading. A couple of years ago on holiday in Majorca I read 50 Shades as did many other women. There was one woman close to us on her sunbed reading the second book with a cheesey grin on her face!

You'll enjoy the 100 year old man. I read it a while ago on the recommendation of someone on the forum. Next on my list is 12 years a Slave. I'm currently reading Hidden Steel which was a free kindle book from ages ago.
I downloaded the 100 year old men etc on my kindle for 20p and loved it so I hope others enjoy it, very amusing. 50 shades of Grey was never my sort of thing but I did get 50 sheds of grey on kindle, again for 20p, and it is hilarious, worth a read.

I've never looked on the Book Club before either, wildmissus! I too read the 100 year old man... on the recommendation of someone on the forum ages ago, and really enjoyed it.
Never thought about 50 sheds, will have a look at that.
50 Sheds is a very funny take off of 50 shades, hope you enjoy it, it is also very short, a friend recommended it so I read it in bed in about 30 minutes and then texted het to say that it was the most fun I'd had in bed for years

I'm excited. I just got the 100 Year Old Man... on my kindle from my local library!
Boohoo. I missed this. Looks like a clear winner though!
It's this month's so not many people read it yet Karen - most of us still on previous month's!!
I'm not sure, but I think she meant that she missed getting to vote!
Ooops yes
