Margaret Atwood 's The Edible Woman ( love her novels but not the mystical fantasy ones, just the contemporary)
The Bean Tree/ Pigs in Heaven / The Poisonwood Bible - all by Barbara Kingsolver
All Anne Tyler's books
All by Carol Shields ( i seem to go for Canadian writers and Canada is somewhere i so want to visit!)
I was an avid reader for a while, then for a few years I stopped for some reason, but a few years ago I started up again and have been reading like crazy ever since! I don't rate too many books with 5 stars, but here's a few that I have in the last few years (and a few 4 stars too!) I realize though that some of them are very U.S. centric!

The Help - Kathryn Stockett
11-22-63 - Stephen King
The Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet - Jamie Ford
Unbroken - Laura Hillenbrand
Still Alice - Lisa Genova
The Fault in Our Stars - John Green (YA)
Me Before You - JoJo Moyes
Defending Jacob - William Landay
The Husband's Secret - Liane Moriarty
@CandiceMarieIf you are looking for Canadian Authors have you tried Robertson Davies? It is a while since I read his books- but I definitely enjoyed them.
Thanks for the recommendation x will look out for him in the library! X

Glad you are enjoying it, without giving anything away, I just loved the way the author makes everything SO plausible
