oh bummer. I covet orange suede shoes.
could you iron the stain under tissue/toilet paper or brown paper? not the easiest on shoes but that's how I get rid of oily or fatty marks on clothing.

Oh that's such a shame Minum x
Like jane says, the brown paper and iron thing works, i use it when i splash candle grease on clothes or carpet...but a bit fiddly doing it on shoes..give it a go tho
Those shoes sound divine x

TBH - looking at that pic, I'm more worried about the veins in my feet than the shoes
@minumonline those ballet flats look fine now - as do your tootsies. Even @Ballerina would be envious
Yes the shoes look ok! Good thinking @Merlin with the talc, and very resourceful@Minumonline using flour in the absence of talc!
Lovely shoes x!

My daughter just texted me a picture of a potential dress buy for my opinion. She said now that she's a real working woman (started yesterday) she thought she should buy something no one else has worn before. But she was feeling nervous about the cost - $80 (47 pounds by my Google translator).
I told her to buy it, she did, and I'm pleased now. I've never been a fashionista, and it's funny to have raised two daughters who both shop mostly at the thrift store!
EDIT:
I hope I advised her well - her employer gave her group of new hires a strong order that dresses can't be more than 2 inches above the knee. Someone please tell me if this dress follows the rules!

Wendyjane it is fine. Not too short, a very nice shape for a young woman with the A line skirt, yet also sober enough to be a business dress.
My Mum today was complaining about a female doctor who came to attend to my father. Apparently she spent all the time pulling up the neckline of her sloppy joe sweater which was artfully pulled right down over one shoulder ...

... And anyway, that is Kate Middleton's preferred dress length ...
Very demure and feminine, @wendyjane and most suitable.
Love the dress@Wendyjane! So feminine and kooks wonderful on the model..
Yr daughter i presume? Such lovely slender legs and pretty knees! How exciting setting out on her new job! X

Very nice and eminently suitable dress.
Regarding the shoes, for future reference the very best agent for soaking up spills is cornflour. It's all about the super fine particles.
