Huge congratulations Merlin. Will you be knitting now?
No-I wouldn't inflict my knitting on anyone-probably a birth sampler though.
Lovely news Merlin xxx!

Oh congrats all round @Merlin, lovely news!
After seeing the BBC Sewing bee, I would like to try a dress for grand daughter age 9 months. I might get it finished by the time she's toddling!
@PennyForthem i love watching this,even tho i can barely sew a hem!
Nothing i attempted to make in school ever got finished!
If i come back in another life, i want to be able to dressmake! X

Just washed my hands staring gloomily at my sleep starved reflection in mirror..think i may have to hand in my Sassy Senior badge and apply for the Raddled Old Lady badge instead x
And relax! Discovered my shoulders up around my ears with concentrating on little 'uns yesterday. Poor OH suffering with sciatica but gamely carried on with most activities. First word today "Ouch ow oh".
Gentle day today. Eat when I feel hungry, let my body tell me when.
P.s. Just lifted this as it's pertinent to us.
Interesting article in the daily mail about a study on the effects of a sedentary lifestyle on the over 60s.
I thought here was a good place to link to it

I'll be 61 next month and find that hard to believe some days. Though the person looking back out at me from the mirror certainly ain't young!
How are we getting on with this ageing business? It's not for the faint hearted but is this way of life helping us?
Hi I am new to this. Fasting diet I mean, not dieting been doing that half of my life ! I am fast approaching 64 and recently had a knee op, want to keep up with my latest grandson, SO far so good and finding it relatively easy . Hope I have not spoke too soon
You've not spoken to soon @MP3 Welcome to the SSS club and You just do "your" bit and watch this amazing WOL weave its magic on you and believe me it will. Sue
Went out this morning as it was bright but the breeze is strong and very cold so we're snuggled in warmth this afternoon, though feeling mildly guilty for it!
At least I'm fasting, woke up feeling like it would be a good day for a fast. From 8pm last night only had water, coffee and peppermint tea so far, there's mackeral and veg for 6pm tonight.
I'm hoping this not-set-days fasting will work out ok, keep the body guessing, a patchwork of 16/8 and way-hey (tomorrow) and one or two 20-24 hour fasts a week.
We'll see, it's all a work in progress individually.

Good reinforcement, I think.
Good reinforcement, I think.
Just had a rush of Spring cleaning blood to the head and bagged up all my dresses bar two, going back 20 years, to go to a charity shop on Monday.
Blown my tiny mind as each brought a fresh memory.
They're mostly Laura Ashley, some Country Casuals, still in good condition, mainly worn to work and not since I retired nine years ago.
I should do the skirts too. Another day.
It just struck me it's a shame they don't get worn, do someone a good (dated) turn.
Curry next :0)
