Hmmmm ...on the bus the other day a guy about 30 offered to give me his seat..
I said thanks but i'm getting off in a few stops so I' m ok
He looked at me carefully then said, yeh i think youre still a bit too young to be offered a seat!
Not sure what to make of that..
Then on another bus,a girl about twenty stood up for me
Lovely to see young peep showing courtesy and consideration for their elders, but shucks,it made me feel like a real old lady!

I suppose my body really doesn't want to go any lower now, I've been bouncing between 70-72kgs for months now, regardless of different strategies, though if I don't have a full fast at least once a week with 16/8 x 4 days too it all goes horribly up very quickly.
Roll on warmer days, I need something positive to look forward to today :0/

Ok so I just ate this and it's WOW!
Slice a banana into a bowl, blob on a small pot of natural greek yogurt, sprinkle over with toasted chopped hazelnuts or chopped Brazils, then some flaked almonds, then zest some lemon peel on this.
Eat, enjoy :0D

A delightful way to start today has been to filter water and pour into a glass, squeeze the juice from half a lemon and add to water and drink. So refreshing, bound to be good for me :0)

I like lemon in water, too, @Azureblue but probably don't use as much juice as you! My breakfast today was my usual, which I love! It's the reason that I couldn't do 16:8! :frown:

25g Jordans fruit and Nut muesli
25g prunes, chopped'
5g Tesco mixed seeds
50g Onken full fat natural yoghurt
75g semi-skimmed milk (I weigh it in the bowl)
5g runny honey - because I have a sweet tooth!

This is quite high in calories but it keeps me going from about 9am, when I surface, until lunch at about 1.30pm. The only other thing that I have is copious amounts of decaff black tea, which I also love!

What do other Sassy Seniors have for breakfast - if anything? :?:

Deffo going to try those brekkies @Azureblue and@StowgateResident
Making me hungry now..am having porridge with a swirl of double cream and a little sugar as my brunch..i like porridge with pumpkin seeds too
You can't beat a bacon butty tho..crispy bacon on soft buttered bread

Well I just popped to Lidl and bought three limes for 69p. Juiced half of one into a glass of filtered water and it too is completely delightful. Also drunk half a pot of fresh coffee and had a teaspoon of coconut butter so far today.
It's all good :0)

I seem to have naturally fallen into a 17/7 fast today, having just broken it with yummy avocado on gluten free roll with a little lemon of course!
Hmmm need an apple now :0)

I have never been to Lidl or Aldi. Are they worth a 25 mile round trip to check them out and, if so, what are the best buys - apart from the limes which @Azureblue has already mentioned?

They are useful to pop in to for basics if near by, would not go 50 mile round trip unless it was Fenwicks or John Lewis!

Have to admit to a roast dinner followed by banana/yogurt/nut/zest dessert. Calories blown out of the water ... Most enjoyable but tomorrow's scales will scowl. The fast will have done me good anyway, for sure.

My son did a last minute flapjack recipe the other evening, but he didn't have any golden syrup, so he tried honey and sugar. It just didn't work out right, it came out too dry and a bit overcooked. So we now have it crushed and sprinkled on greek yogurt with some kind of fruit. I guess its a sort of granola.

 Hi SSS members well as I've said many times I've been on an "up" since starting this WOL and @CandiceMarie has just pointed out joining this forum ten months ago and according to @callyannaI'm like the Duracell dancing bunny rabbit but the stupid scales got me down on Friday with totally inconsistent readings yes all 7 of them.
Today my mojo has returned its a nice sunny Monday for us in the UK washing on the line have done a short 2 mile walk the blue tits are nesting in one of my boxes, blackbird gathering nesting material, snow drops, daffodils, and crocus all flowering I'd say spring has sprung.
The batteries have been recharged and I'm feeling good and very positive. Back to basics @wildmissus with the old fashioned simple but true 5:2 fastdays.
So scales locked away for one month and @Silverdarling the Moser Roth banned for 4 days + nights each week.
Easter Fri will be my next weigh-in then the Bunnie can decide whether I deserve a further treat or not.
 Good plan do you think? @rawkaren because I don't know what else to try.
Cheers @Maggiee You always manage to inspire me into another plan. Sue

@Sue.Q. Hi. Buy a tape measure, it is more motivational than weighing yourself. I once dropped 3 dress sizes just by measuring my waist every day. (use the mm side) Great to hear your mojo is back. Can I have some please? :curse:

Remarkably I dropped 200g after last nights feast, grateful I am! Still only on 567 cals and 38 g carbs so far today. Woohoo! Dinner should be seed coated haddock and salad ... Trying to be good :0)
