I blame it on the fasting! No! It's nothing to do with my age (64)!

Today I drove to our nearest local town, 10 miles away, to return a top that I bought a couple of weeks ago. I got there, having paid for the parking, only to discover that the carrier bag, in which the said garment nestled, was still at home!

I have had to ring the shop and explain the situation because the exchange period finishes today. The manageress obviously felt sorry for this deranged pensioner and has agreed that I can take it back sometime next week! :like:

I'm not usually this disorganised - perhaps I'm turning into my mother - who was!

Sorry to see that so many of you are feeling unwell. Hugs and best wishes coming your way! :hugleft: :hugright:

Oh StowgateResident you did make me smile  I have also had my forgetful days & it is embarrassing & amusing. In my Roman history class my teacher knows what I have supposedly learnt in previous classes & because there are new people who have joined she looks hopefully in my direction for some intelligent comment or memorable name & my mind goes blank. I do feel such a fool but I have always had a problem remembering people's names & dates

I'm glad all the awards are back in place now & I hope Penny that your nosebleed is sorted out now.
I have had a rather indulgent food day today but fasting tomorrow to try to lose some weight this week!

I live in a place known for active, athletic people. But this beats all...

I go to Zumba at the nearby rec center, and the class before it (a toning class of some sort) is led by a woman who is about 4'10" (like me), about 90 pounds (or 5-10 less than me), and, well, not young. She generally stays for the first half of Zumba as a participant.

Yesterday I got around to telling her she's my new hero. She then told me she's been teaching exercise classes of all sorts for over 50 years. She also told me that she was on the women's varsity basketball team at her college in 1954 - 58. Firstly, women's sports were not exactly a big thing in the US in the 50's (or 60's or 70's for that matter). And secondly - basketball as an under 5 footer?? She explained that she was really fast.

Still not sure how this makes me feel. So far just awe-struck.

Ooooooh sunshine, snowdrops, aconites, coltsfoot, crocus, feverfew, periwinkle and all the flowering trees!
A cafetiere of good coffee in me and I'm thinking I might try for a full fast today after yesterday's huge and glorious curry.
Seize the day!

May I chime in Wendyjane that one of our fitness instructors (whose been doing such for 25 years) received her Seido Karate black belt last year at the age of 50? Apparently, it's quite an accomplishment at her age.

We sassy ones have some good role models :)

Our sign of Spring here is that we are predicted to have temps in the 40's (F) on Wednesday and Thursday. Tonight might be down to zero, though.

Good golly Miss Molly, I am cream crackered!
Half term innit.
Six and four year old grandsons ran me round one park this morning and a second this afternoon, then we were on to computer games laced with cbeebies and dinosaurs.
We are all going to sleep sound tonight :0)
