Re: The Fast-5 Tent

Bumping this to ask how everyone is doing on Fast-5. Barbarita, are things still going your way?

I also wanted to tell you all that I have finally settled into a routine. I now do 18/6 every day (except the weekends). I didn't feel like I was losing weight or even really maintaining by doing 16/8. And Fast-5 seemed TOO hard for me to maintain long term. But for some reason, I can do 18-hr fasts daily where 19 is too hard. Go figure.

I'll let you all know how it goes.

Hi Melinda_in_NC. Yes, thanks, I'm still doing 19/5 seven days a week and maintaining for 7 weeks now. Minor ups and downs but definitely not losing despite sticking to a 5-hour eating window. I also had good results on my recent blood test which has laid any niggles about possible negative effects to rest.

All the best with the 18/6 - I don't think anyone has written a book about the 6-hour diet, you may have a business opportunity there

I agree that a 5 hour window can be a little awkward and find that most days I have a 6 or 7 hour window which fits nicely with family mealtimes (lunch at 1ish; dinner at 6:30ish, finish eating at 7 to 8pm). If I allow 8 hours I tend to see a small weight increase and if I go to 5 hours I get a drop.

If you write a book about 18:6, @Melinda_in_nc, I'll do the 17:7 one...deal?
