Hi fivers

I have been doing more fast five again lately, so I thought I would pop in and tell you about my fave choc treat @izzy its a small wine glass of alpro almond dark choc flavour milk (no soya) warm or cold its delious. 47cal per 100ml. You have the sugar from the choc which is 6.9g but so what its a treat.
I have a splash of brandy in mine  it reminds me of the La Mumba drink I have in Spain Ole

@izzy maybe a nice treat at the end of the day would be a chia dessert, I just had one made from mango cheeks, lite coconut milk and chia. Very creamy and yummy and the chia is beneficial while the coconut is a good fat. I have been having them for a month I make different flavours (obviously I obtain on fast days for me) and the protein for the chia is good for hair, nails and skin. Supposed to be a super food

I also have been slipping in some 5 hour fast windows especially if I can't do the distance on low cal fluids only. It is doable isn't it. There is a TED talk by Bert Herring.

Thanks barbarita
I went on to facebook and read the book
Seems it is the long fast that is what is beneficial
It is true that once I break the fast I don't seem to need to eat a lot
But I am feeling tired.
This is only day 5 for me
Will I start to get used to it and feel less tired?

Hi @sarahg Someone on the FB page asked about tiredness, in their case the tiredness set in after they started eating. The advice from other members was to break your fast with salad or fruit and wait half an hour before having something substantial. Also to up the protein and watch the carbs. Other people thought it was part of the adapting process which normally takes 3 weeks.

Lol!
There used to be a posh frock shop in Cheltenham called Janet Herring, where my ma would buy things for special occasions.

@carorees - I'm sure that must be a relation, given that it was posh frocks
