We've arrived! I am trying for a semi- fast today. No breakfast, hopefully no lunch but then whatever our daughter has planned for dinner tonight. That's got to be better than stuffing myself full of everything, hasn't it? Yesterday,I had no breakfast then two rolls for lunch, banana, cake, more cake, a round of cheese sandwiches, more cake! As you can see, a very carb- heavy day for me and very poor nutritionally! :frown:

@PennyForthem if you find StowgateResident rather tricky, my given name is Valerie which you are more than welcome to use, although I'll answer to anything really! Carieoates uses Stowie or SR. Do you produce your own labels or have them commercially printed? I suppose there will be design issues with having to fit more info on them. Good luck with that!

@Wendy Darling you appear to have a carb-laden few days ahead. There will be lots of water retention but at least you know that weight will come off quickly once you cut back on the carbs again. I envy you the chocolate - I think that Aldi may have started in Germany - perhaps I better investigate!

@callyanna - half a cheesecake! How big a cheesecake was it? I hope you really enjoyed it. I have decided that if I am going to indulge myself with something, then I will not feel guilty and I will enjoy every mouthful!

Enjoy whatever you're doing today! Over and out from Germany!
Glad you've arrived safe and sound.
I print all my labels. I'm proud to be a micro artisan producer and always say I'm WYSIWYG
Super callystowiedarlingpenny has a certain ring to it!!
No dinner last night but I went out to the cinema and did have some sweets. We watched the live stream of Sleeping Beauty from the royal opera house, it was so lovely and the music is going round and round in my head today. I weighed in this morning at 1lb over target again, the same as yesterday. Result!!!

Fasting today, doing well so far on just some Pukka 3 cinnamon and vanilla chai teas.

Hope everyone is ok, Stowie and Cally have stopped eating cake and Penny is too busy designing labels to have time to eat. Yes, Stowie, I am sure Aldi are a popular German supermarket, so check out that chocolate and see what other goodies are on offer whilst you're there.
@Wendy Darling iJust popped in for a wee visit and just had to let you know that was also at that showing of Sleeping Beauty except I saw it in Inverness wasn't it fabulous we are so lucky to able to go and see all the top dancers even though we live so far from their base
Valerie, it was half of a cheesecake that was supposed to feed six people so I really did pig out on it! That's what seems to happen to me once I get that taste and sugar rush I have to keep eating
why is the combination of sugar and fat so addictive? :?:
Enjoy the time with your family! x
@Nessie yes and wasn't it great to see all those tweets on the screen from people watching the same show from near and far? Everything was fabulous, dancers, costumes, everything. I thought the rat costumes were very clever. I will definitely go to one of those screenings again although a trip to the real thing might be in order I think
@WendyDarling I do try to get to them all, opera and ballet, it is such a treat when living in the Highlands of Scotland. The performances are perfection. It is a lovely feeling that the world is not very large and we can share the pleasure of a Ballet with Finland and Greece, a bit like this forum.
Hi guys, just popping into your tent to say I caught myself singing your tent name to the Mary Poppins tune it's based on. Good job matching the syllables to the music! Do you dance with chimney sweeps in here too? I think you're having just a bit too much fun....looking forward to peeking in on your adventures now & again. :)
hello @MLCDz you're most welcome to pop in here at any time to sing and dance!

Anything goes in here MLCDz! so please do join in with the frivolities! Maybe scrub 'A Spoonful of Sugar' off the song list though!
Great name for a tent! Trouble is, now I can't stop singing it! Um diddle um...

Bean :starving:
How are you doing @PennyForthem, @callyanna and @Wendy Darling, my fellow maintaineers? I wrote a post yesterday and then lost it! Now I can't remember what it said and what I have posted in other threads, so I'll limit myself to saying "Hi!" and hoping that the maintenance is going well? I have eaten some cake and some chocolate but not nearly as much as I could have done, so that's got to be better than eating everything, hasn't it? :?: Valerie xxx
Hi buddies, hope you're enjoying your time in Germany Valerie, you will have to sample 'kuchen' at least once now with your grandchildren! I'm not weighing myself at the moment as I can tell by my clothes that I haven't gained weight, in fact I had a wardrobe blitz last week and had to throw out several pairs of jeans only bought last summer as they were falling off me.
Out to lunch with friends today then going to Whitby with some very dear old friends for 4 days tomorrow so won't be around till next week.
Have a good weekend all! x
Hope you're having a great time Valerie!
Still 10 7, here. But I'm off for lunch with a friend soon and then we have a busy socialising weekend, so please nag me next week! Sounds like Callyanna is doing some socialising too!!
Now, where's @wendy darling?

Sounds as if' the party starts here' with yr lunch out today! Woohhhoooooo enjoy yourself! X
