Hmmm, it was a bit of a disaster, Candice. See Chatterbox for explanation.
Well, my fast day hasn't gone quite as I had hoped - I blame it in my greedy nature! I managed without food all day, then we took our two grandchildren out for ice cream. I had a savoury pancake, which on its own wouldn't have been too bad. However, this was then followed by a huge butterscotch sundae! The only way that I can look at this is that I have still saved my breakfast and lunchtime calories, so that's better than nothing!
It sounds as if you, @PennyForthem and you, @callyanna, are also going to have a food-filled few days, so make sure that you enjoy every mouthful. There should be no guilt about what we choose to eat, just enjoyment! That's my view, anyway!
Sorry I've not been around for a few days. Been away and really, really busy. Lots of food over the weekend, healthy stuff but lots of it and plenty of carbs. Mash, rolls, toast, crumpets etc etc. I go on this trip once a year and love every minute. It will be worthwhile tomorrow morning when the scales ask me who I am and please can I get off now! :pig2:
@Wendy Darling, we've missed you but it sounds as if you have had a great time!
Sounds like we're all having fun maintaining!
We've been away for the weekend, too, and enjoyed plenty of good food. Then we went out for a meal to our local last night. It's always been cheap and cheerful, but has just had a revamp, and so we went to try it, rather than cook.
It was packed! We order prawn cocktail each (very retro!) and then I ordered piri piri half chicken and chips (which hub had to help with!)
Then we waited.... and waited.... and waited.... and finally it arrived. Nothing wrong with the cocktail, with walnut bread, but my chicken arrived on a wooden platter - all very rustic - with no room for the chips and nowhere to deposit bones from said chicken. I can foresee problems ahead for them. We will probably not go back, as I can only see its popularity growing and, as it has introduced a Sunday carvery, our usual quick, cheap and cheerful Sunday bolthole isn't for us any more.
Anyway, to the bottom line - I was still under target this morning!!
Hi buddies and glad to know we've all been out and about and enjoying ourselves. We're not long back from 4 days in Whitby with friends, eating and drinking for Britain so feel I must have regained some weight with all the cakes, wine, extra bread I've been enjoying. Hope your foot's ok Penny, can't wait to see your chosen new avatar. It's going to take me all evening now catching up with all the threads I've missed on here! x
Missed you @callyanna ! Good to have you back! X
Trying not to lose any more weight by upping my carbs and fats. Bit worrying that I'm still losing, so trying to find that happy balance between loss and gain.
Hope my fellow maintainers are still doing well xx

Same here Penny. Managed to put on a few pounds eating and drinking far more than my usual while away on holiday last weekend but have since lost them again now I've reduced my carb intake once more. It seems my body likes this lighter weight and I can live with that. Maybe you should try gradually increasing your carbs by 5% or so at a a time Penny and see if that makes any difference ? :?:
Hope WD and SGR are doing well! :like: :like:
Wish that I had your problem @PennyForthemand @callyanna! I came back from Germany within my two pound 'buffer' of ten stone seven pound, but only just - ten stone eight and three quarters! :frown: I have done three fasts since then but also quite a bit of eating! This morning, after yesterday's fast, the scales showed ten stone six and three quarters. However, my weekly weigh-in day is Sunday, so I will see what that brings!

Has anyone seen any posts from Wendy Darling recently? If you're out there, @Wendy Darling, your maintaining buddies would like to catch up with you!
I wish i had their probs too Stowie!
@PennyForthem hows yr foot now?
I am a bit behind ( and a BIG behind  ) on everyone's news..are you still in Anglesey and how is the mud factor? X
Back, @candicemarie but will be moving the van from that particular site for a week weeks till it dries out.
Good idea, @callyanna. Mind you, lunch was provided at the event today and I really tucked in with gusto!!
Edited the title to include @auriga

I am still losing, so I'm going to eat a shed load over Easter. If I still lose, I may pay a visit to the doc.
Thank you @PennyForthem! I changed my avatar again as I think it gives a better idea of my body size these days. I have at last got to grips with my laptop and taking 'selfies' with it! The next step for me is to get an i-phone, who knows what I might get up to then!
I am not losing a thing lately so I just keep reading articles about insulin resistance and what everyone says on here and it seems to keep me motivated not to eat too many carbs. Drat those carbs!
You are certainly looking very trim Auriga, you look just great in your new avatar pic!
@PennyForthem, have you upped your carb intake at all to see if it stops you losing any more weight? Always best to get checked out with your GP though if you continue to be worried about it.
How are Wendy Darling and Valerie doing this week? Hope you're all enjoying this beautiful sunshine! x
