Re: Auriga's progress.

Hey Auriga, nice to see there's some movement downwards :) every little bit helps & your doing great. My waist is the last thing to shrink too, but it does play catch up especially if I cut down the carbs.

Loved your musings, with my willpower I cant stay on a low fat,low calorie per day diet for more than a few months without going doolally & taking down a cream doughnut or two. Its just the sheer boredom of it for me fat tastes good, sugar tastes good. If lettuce was 500cals per portion I could leave it alone for life, but refined carby treats? sigh...thats why 4:3 works for me I can treat myself in moderation without falling over the edge, but it is a thin line, so i'm being very good & waiting for my Xmas free from limits day to over indulge.

Weigh in today! 61.2k and seems to be slowing down, but still going in the right direction! I have noticed that the scales can vary up to 1k a day at times so what my 'true' weight is at any given point might be a mystery. So long as it's down I don't care! My waist measurements are refusing to budge BUT I have lost six inches from around my stomach...now there's a thing!!
Well done too Karen...maybe we're twins!

My weight was 61.2k on Monday of this week and 62k today! Ahhhhhhhhhhh! I have been SO good too. Well weigh in day is next Monday and I am fasting today so I shall take my own medicine on this one and consider it just a blip! It doesn't feel good though.

Hello Diary,
phew! must have been 'water weight', because I am back to 61.2k this morning....but no loss yet. I've been thinking about buying those scales that Moogie reviewed, they are a bit pricey mind you, maybe I can get hubby in a head lock!

Hey Auriga :) Yes water retention plays havoc with the scales when weighing on a daily basis. lol @ getting your hubby in a headlock for a new one. I was thinking of getting a new one too, can you point me in the direction of moogie's review?

Good luck for your next weigh in :)

Dear diary,
no progress on the scales at all! Still on 61.2k. New strategy today....going to try no gluten diet on top of everything else and I have added cold pressed flaxseed oil to my diet (I am allergic to all fish & shellfish, but need omega's). I am also going to eat more fat and have started to take Vit D, because it's dark out there so early now and lots of you have suggested it. I hope this will kick start things again.

Well we now weigh the same Auriga. I dream of my weight beginning with a 5 before Christmas but I doubt that is going to happen somehow. The last two months have been really slow for me. Good luck for this week! :clover: :clover: :clover:

Dear diary,
Well the new strategy seems to be working...more fat and a twenty four hour fast has kicked things into motion again. On the scales today and 60.7k. Yippeeeee!
Hope you get your dream number weight Karen too.....it's my dream also.
The only down side to this is the crêpey skin look....my skin needs to play 'catch up':however the person looking out of the mirror at me is someone I remember from 30 years ago (with eye bags)...yikes...not quite as youthful but damn near enough.

The new strategy is working well, today I weigh 60.4k....and that was after an eating day. I hope this isn't too fast now?
