Dared to get on the scales today after frightening myself on Boxing Day (full of food) when I was 2k up on my pre-Christmas weight. Today I found that I have actually put on 1k, which I can live with and hope to get rid of it soon.

60.9k yesterday and 60.2k on the scales this morning...where did that go? Must have been water thank goodness! But why does it take just a few days to put the weight on and double that time to take it off. Just SO not fair!!

Excellent news! No idea what I weigh right now. Can't get to a set of scales for another week. Hope the damage will not be too bad

I can't believe this but today when I stepped on the scales it showed 59.3k and hubby has lost quite a bit too. Is it because we've been eating MORE in between the fast days???? That's weird isn't it?

After a big meal last night (making up for being on a fast on New Year's Eve) the old weight has gone up again to the 60k mark. I kicked the scales in disgust, but they didn't budge!
I think I shall weigh myself everyday just to see what exactly my weight does on a daily basis, but I won't bore you all with a daily report.
:geek: Science person in me coming out! :geek:
Quite a few of you find daily weighing useful, I have read.
I used to dislike getting on the scales, but don't really mind now.....

My son and his Fiancée will be getting married in 2015 and for once I don't think I shall mind having my photo taken by then and I intend to stay at least as slim as I've got now, but they'll be plenty of time to hopefully get to my goal (if it's a feasible one for me, it may be too low I'm not sure yet).
It's going to be a real pleasure shopping for 'that outfit' for a change too, but it's too early yet. I can't afford to fall off this WOE. It HAS to become my way of life.

I seem to be back on track now. Weighed 59.1k today. I did 3 days in a row fasting at 500 cals which has got me off the plateau at last. It was a bit hard to do but worth it I hope. Good luck everyone if you're stuck a bit too.

Went out and bought some new scales (half price at Sainsbury's), because my old ones were all over the place even after buying new batteries!
My new ones do body fat too....woooo!
So today I weigh 58.7k and my body fat is 28.4%....very pleased with that indeed.

 Great news @Auriga The new scales are being good to you  I avoided the body fat/water ones becauseiI didn't want to now exactly how much fat was still there lol and with my water retention problem couldn't bear the thought of them saying I was holding onto the extra gallon.

Thanks @Sue.Q, my water % was at 49% which I believe is slightly above normal, but just means I am hydrated! I had avoided the body fat ones before because I DIDN'T WANT TO KNOW! Head in the sand seemed best, but now I am in the 'normal' range I am so much happier... just got to reach my ultimate goal and STAY there!
You know I don't think I would have bought them if I had thought they would give me a 'bad' reading. I hope you'll be where you want to be soon too.. you've made a lot of progress Sue. :victory:

 Back on track now @Auriga Not quite at my pre-xmas weight yet but with this weeks fasts hopefully I will be but my valentine/challenge is doubtful never mind lessons learned and maybe I will change my mind on the scales next time I need new ones and brave the technical type but as you said I'm not ready for that information yet.

Whoooooppppeeeee I reached my Valentine's target today and couldn't wait to post.....I am SO pleased. I am now 2.8k away from my main target which seemed such a long way off back in September 2013 and almost out of reach. Not any more it isn't!!!
