My spring 2014 challenge
19 Mar 2014, 10:58
OK, so I am finding far too many excuses not to get out the door and move so I am making myself accountable to my fasting colleagues by saying that I will:

Beginning on March 21, for one month, every day either go for a proper walk up a fell or out of a walks book, or jog/walk around a circuit of 5k near home. It took me 57 mins 30 seconds to walk it today.

And

Avoid all added sugar during this time.

I think that is most admirable. What if it rains? Or snows? Or hails?

Good luck on your Spring mission. I look forward to hearing how you get on xx

Great to see this out in the open stuff.

I have fallen down with my running lately. No excuse, I've just been a bit tired to exercise every day.
Good luck and she won't melt @nursebean

Thanks for all the support folks

Day one exercise completed.

Weather bad, cold wind and showers. Got wet so that is one barrier broken.
5K walk 200 Steps, jog 200 Steps time 50 minutes.
Goal - get round without damaging knees - odd twinges on right kneecap now, hopefully recover. Comfortable as regards breathing and heart rate.

The sugar avoiding will be more an exercise in checking labels and being firm when offered treats while out. I do not have a sweet tooth and will be OK eating at home.

Will do weekly updates. Bye for now.
