The Muse sounds very interesting, I'm going to have to look and see if it's available in the US as well.

What I love about this way of eating (I don't want to call it a diet, cause I always feel a 'diet' is something with an end date in sight) is that we can adjust it based on our current goal. Between AFD, 5:2 and 16:8 there's always a way to either lose fast, lose slow or maintain and easy to switch between it. Unlike a conventional diet, where people go back to their old ways of eating when the 'diet' is done, and undo the good they have done.
With fasting, it's easier to 'fix' something with a slight change in eating pattern for a couple of days - before it gets out of hand and you're back where you started.

Pretty sure they are made in Canada @Zesty and can be brought from most of the major tech retailers like best buy etc. (I imported mine from the States)

Yea that's exactly what I love about this way of life too - its so flexible and why some fast days can be tough you know you can have whatever you like the next day!

Well down to 95.2kg this morning (3.4kg total loss so far)

Sounds like things are continuing well for you Tim, that's great,

Just had a look for some info about Muse. Does look good! As someone who has never been able to meditate, but could seriously do with it, I will give it strong consideration. If it could help with sleep, that would be wonderful (tho my problem is not with getting to sleep, but waking frequently - I wonder if it could help prevent that??).

@Sassy1 This could be a total coincidence and a mix of things but below is my sleep journal from Fitbit for the past week.

The last two nights I did a 3 minute Muse session before bed and the difference in sleep is crazy!

Dark Blue = Sleeping
Light Blue = Restless
Red = Awake

Wow, Tim, hope that pattern continues for you! How did you find out about Muse?

Back in 2012 they did a kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the development and I thought it looked like an incredible idea. I paid for one right then and there and then completely forgot about it - 2 years later they went into production and one turned up on my doorstep haha!

To be honest I haven't used it much at all but then when I was reviewing my goals this year I thought hang on this could actually help reduce my stress levels and hopefully improve sleep. From my graph you can see I have been running on empty for sleep for quite some time and I honestly don't know how long one can safely survive on an average of 3 hours a night but its been like that for me for a little under a year now!

Fingers crossed these results continue and maybe even improve further - my goal for sleep is to average 7 hours per night.

Thanks for that info, Tim, and best wishes for a continuing improving sleep pattern.

It is amazing how well we do in fact cope with not much sleep, but how much better everything is after a good night's rest.

Glad to hear it's going so well!!!

I think we could use many millions of those muse things here in the states right about now...

First week back into ADF Down! YAY! I did it hahaha

3.8Kg down so far - first couple days was a huge drop which I am expecting was water weight etc then since then been averaging around 1-200grams per day.

Next week I will be missing one fast day due to some long travel - while my body is still adjusting I didn't think it wise to drive long distance while fasting.. Not too concerned though as I am still creating a calorie deficit regardless.

Hi @TBrewerton, have a look at your progress charts in the tracker: you move for instance from 110,6 kg on Jan 4 to 67 kg on Jan 5 :victory:  But up just as fast afterwards

Oh I see haha - not sure whats up there, I deleted out all my entries and started fresh. Currently I only have two entries and it looks like doing that may have messed with the database behind the data...? @Moggie
