Feed day today. I feel really hungry for some reason. Maybe the cold weather!
Excellent fast yesterday. Didn't really suffer at all and stayed calm and cheerful even after a stressful afternoon. Will fast again Thursday and then going to do only one fast a week while the children are off school for a fortnight. Will get back to two days once they are back.
Not much else to report. Not weighed this week so far.

Oh! One thing, bought a dress last week. One in a size 16 and one in a size 14 to try at home. The 14 was ok (yay) so I kept it but still wasn't entirely happy with the fit. Anyway took it back today and swopped it for a 12 and my lord, it only fits like a glove! It's a miracle. I haven't worn a 12 dress for 10 years! Having a big bust a 14 was the smallest I could get away with in the past despite having smaller hips.

Ahhh got the munches today, just had a bagel and turkey with tomato and grapes on the side. Plus a small packet crisps. Feel like eating more. Mist distract myself!
Got chilli later so it shouldn't come I over 2000 cals today as long as I resist till then.

Another good fast over, though it was dodgy ground at a friends earlier when she brought out carrot cakes. I took 2 small bites then fed the rest to my 5 yo in secret, oh dear, I didnt want to offend her as she had gone to so much effort but I couldn't bear the thought of ruining my fast.
What with Easter and school hols meaning I'm on 6.1 now till kids are back to school.
The problem is No one in real life but my husband and mum know I'm doing this.

Another lb gone, a real surprise as Easter was a 4 day food extravagance and I'm amazing to see any change on the scales. If not a gain!
That's takes me to 10.6lb. Only 4 lb to my wedding weight ten years ago.
Imagine if I get there and decide to go for the under ten stone mark, lordie that would be amazing!

Been a week on 6.1 so fast feels needed. Weird how my body now wants to doit?!
Taking the children out for the day with some other mums. Be lot of walking so will keep going with lots of black coffee and a flask of herbal tea!
Still at least there will be no food around to tempt me.

Wow what an achievement. A whole day out with the children and some other mums and I managed to not eat all day, just two cups of tea
Just told the others I was being good. My 500cals awaiting me now hurrah,
Feel so much better as well for doing it as its been 6 days since my last fast. It's like my body needs and expects it now.

Happy to break my fast today with toast marmalade and a latte, It was hard yesterday as my dinner didn't fill me up that much, must have been all the fresh air I got with the kids, first time in ages I went to bed hungry. Got to sleep ok but now I'm on 6.1 last week of holidays and the kids will be back to school so I can go for the last 4lbs of my current target on 5.2.
So glad that it's working well for you. I am also having some success with weight loss. For me the proof of 5:2 as a way of life will be when I reach my target (7.25 lb to go) and manage to stay there for more than a couple of months! At the moment it feels as if it will work. How do you think it will work for you as a maintenance WOE?

The last few lbs are frustrating to shed I find, also as I get used to my new slimmer body I still find faults like my belly, which I've never liked even at my slimmest no child twenties. What was I thinking! Oh to put an old head on young shoulders!
I'm bought a ten min tum blast DVD so I will do that every day once the kids are back in school. Got to get a better tum, two c sections and my last bit of fat holds fast in a delightful kangaroo pouch type affair. It's better than it was but I feel muscle tone is the way forward.
I'm hoping to go onto 6.1 and see if I can maintain that way but if that doesn't work then I may try two days at 24 hr fast but eat 8oo-1000 cals at my evening meal, see what works best.
I got to my first goal 10.7lb pretty easily, target was Easter but I got there a week early! so now I've moved to 10.2lb. Once there I may move again but I think my minimum target will be 9.12lb. Not been in the 9's since my twenties so I'd be over the moon with that now in my forties.
TroubleE is kids keep having school holidays so I go to 6.1 as its too hard for me when they are home. Stalling my progress a bit but I'm really pleased with what I've got to so far.
I feel so much better, more energy, in a size 12 comfortably and had loads of positive comments so all good.
Love this site too Keeps me motivated.
