Deb's journal-ADF experiment
20 Jan 2014, 04:10
Flaxseed -check
Magnesium -check
Cheap digital scales -check
Figs -check
High fibre gummie bears -ch..... No, hang one, better hold that one for the time being!

I am going to experiment with ADF for the next three weeks while I am at work as I have no distractions (wine, nice food, Sweet Envy etc.!), so I may as well give it a go.

I know I may offend some of the purists but I shall be using some ready meals (a ready meal user, sounds like a bad drug habit), but I have no other reliable way of calculating my calories so I'd rather do that and make sure I am counting properly.

I contacted Krista Varady on her Facebook page and was assured that weight loss for someone on or near a normal BMI was still achievable, albeit more slowly, 1-2 lbs a week will do me.

I will go low carb within reason, I.e. no bread, potatoes, rice etc., just lovely under/overcooked veg courtesy of the canteen, and plenty of salad and protein. Fat will be in the form of avocado, cheese, nuts, yoghurt. BUT I shall still be having my lovely chocolate on my off days! Anyway, Lindt was on special in the supermarket.......!

So, putting out there! Weighing everyday for the next three weeks and fast starts tomorrow. Right, where is my lunch!!!

Wish me luck as I haven't tackled this before!

Deb
Good Luck! :)
Wish you luck Debs. I too an anxious to drop these last few pounds.
I'll keep you posted! I want to lose 6kg or roughly 14lbs, they've been with me as hangers-on for years and they are no longer welcome!
That sounds great Deb. Keep us posted.

Sounds and looks good @Deb don't think I could do it, even though its moving so slowly - I need to shift at least 10kg.

All the best - im looking forward to reading your progress.

Cheers maggie

Best of luck debs, I'm sure you'll soon see the kilos dropping off! x
Good luck Debs!
Good luck, @Debs.
Keep us posted!
I'm joining you @Debs ! Thanks to you reviewing Krista Varaday's book I thought the EOD plan might help me with my comfort eating struggle and "going off the boil" effect. I am on my second fast of my planned EOD fast. So far, so good. So thank you Debs xx

Bean :starving:
Ah beanie, glad you are joining me!! I understand the comfort eating problem and want to reclaim my hunger so to speak! We'll tackle it together!
Hope it all goes well for you Deb, :clover: :clover: :clover: sounds like a good plan, good you have Lindt to feast upon alternate days
Good luck, bean, too!
Steady on with the Lindt, you two!
Not at such bargain prices!! Dark coconut and a lovely orange one are singing their siren song!!
