Hi Juliana - update from member 23! Christmas club loss to date 6.9kg. I did gain over Christmas but lost that again (and some) with the help of a tummy bug. Silver lining and all that

The Christmas club really encouraged me to focus through the end of last year - what an amazing job you've done managing it all Juliana! Thank you so much xo
There is a positive side to a tummy bug :)

I lost 4.8bs last week, goodness how as I am 7 months into this ! Then got a tummy bug two days later... knocked me for 6 with the weight loss !

However, all the pounds have kept off and replenished the levels after the bug loss !

Am I reading this right, @Minigill? You lost nearly 5 pounds in ONE week???
Yes you are @wendyjane

I have had a steady loss over the months with a few weeks thrown in where it can be quite a bit more than the average one pound. Nudged four pound loss before in a week.

I think my system went through a reset last week, getting back into fasting after xmas and decided to give the months loss in a week :) I am not knocking it :like:

Just one pound to go to goal... that will probably take me a while now
Hi

I'm still higher than my Christmas club start weight, but it definitely is starting to shift, so I'm in with a chance of at least getting back to start weight by end of Jan
Thank you for reporting in. Was worried people had forgotten about their Christmas commitments :-)

@drilakila ... only way is for 5:2 to be a habit and i know i have embraced it completely as has my OH. I do go over TDEE on non fast days and thats what i have to work on

@Otter and @Minigill. yes there is a good side to tummy bugs though we dont want to wish it upon ourselves. Last time i lost tonnes of weight was due to being a little ill. Thank you Otter for your word of thanks.

@minumonline - keep up the good work.
I keep reaching green and then setting my sights for more but I am happy to say that I am proud of how far I have come over such a stressful time. Weigh in this morning after 10 weeks and having a week off last week to eat up fish and chips beside the sea makes it even better. 8kg total another 9kg and I will lose a digit out the window and be in double digits yay! Love this WOE

Member 119 checking in, I'm still 1lb over my maintenance weight but it's gradually going down. I like the fact that I can use the weight gain prevented whilst on maintenance to add towards the overall club total - although I don't know how it works when I'm slightly over. I'll let @Juliana.Rivers sort that out (sorry Juliana, I can't get my head round it).

Hi Juliana

Member #89 reporting in now I have reached maintenance. Total loss in xmas club is 9.5 kg :)
Update @Juliana.Rivers.
I am doing really well and part of that is down to the Christmas club. I got my Valentine's target today weighing in at 57.8k.
I joined the Christmas club on 22nd October 2013 and lost 3.6k reaching my target of 60k on 22nd December (but put some on over Christmas)!
I am now not far off my main goal of 55k.
I hope you will be hosting the Christmas Club again this year???? because it really motivated me. Thank you Juliana.

Thanks @Auriga for your update and congratualations to you too.

re christmas club 2014. ask me again in October. lol there may be a budding forum member that would love the role too . I shall be in maintenance then (hows that for affirmations) and maybe someone on the downward weight loss spiral will be the best person.

btw im now putting a "last update dd mmm" in blue next to your names in post 1 everyone so i can track who i need to "chase" thanks for the blue people. ill go back to older comments later.. i have it all i my spreadsheet.

Wow, Cassyn_05.. a whole 8kg in 10 weeks! well done! ive updated post 1 with this great result bringing the total to 239.. im nearing my magic 250kg for the group. is there a term for 1000 kg. anyway its 1/4 of that nearly.!

did you say fish and chips. you honestly have just decided my dinner menu for tonight.. its a foodie day today for me. phew. and i miss my fish and chips. Love making chips in my deep fryer and grilling fish but ill take the easy way out today. My local seafood takeway does it well and no salt except the tiny bit i add when i get home. And then i add the mandatory vinegar on the chips. and the herbed mayo i get from WW's .. mouth waters.
There are times i love that purple line in Progress tracker. it says 70.05 which means it needs to be just 5 grams less and im under the magic 70kg. but Libra app says 70.8 so i cant celebrate.

yes the line of best fit since beginning 5:2 though can be inspiring. so for what its worth, im nearly there.

last readings
15/1 70.4
16/1 70.7
17/1 70.9
18/1 70.4
19/1 71.1
20/1 71.7 (omg where did that come from)
21/1 71.4
22/1 71.2
23/1 70.6
24/1 70.5

now this is a christmas blip if ever i saw one

fast day today so maybe i can see 70.2 or even 69.9 tomorrow morning when i weigh myself. i will make it a "good one"
