Saw the MM Horizon programme last August (or therabouts) - there wasn't an option to vote as having discovered this via TV programme. Think we should get something going so that they air the programme again - so many people are talking about it and I think it's been taken off of UTube as BBC protected property! Maybe we should get a petition going to the BBC

This poll is to find out how you found the forum! There is another one for how you heard about the diet!
On a post in the myfitnesspal forum :)
Thanks ZABetsy13, I have added that as an option on the poll, you can vote for it now!
I found out about the 5:2 diet on the menopause matters forum. I then bought the book 'The Fast Diet' by Michael Mosley and Mimi Spencer and got hooked!
someone on my fatsecret had a link to this website. Ive been using fatsecret for weight and calorie tracking for years.
My friend who lives in the UK ( I'm in Australia) told me about this forum. I joined last week when I started the 5:2. Have watched the Horizon programme and also ordered the book now but just reading the forum I have learned a lot, this is a great resource!
strangely, when I searched on google for an IF forum, I didn't find this site, but when I searched for a comparison of 5:2 and 4:3 I did.
I saw a link posted on Fat Secret...a great resource IMHO.
I had never heard of the 5:2 diet but clicked on a weight loss advert that was on facebook (for some other weight loss regime..obviously didn't make much of an impact as can't remember what it was or what website it was!) anyway that website mentioned 5:2 so I googled it and found this forum and have been doing 5:2 ever since.

same I was looking for info as to whether 5:2 or 4:3 would suit me better and it brought me here
Thanks to everyone who has posted on this topic.

I'm interested that searching for 'intermittent fasting' doesn't bring you here - Moogie, it might be worth considering getting that phrase into the title / header / meta tags? The er 'official' site has it in their title I note.
I found it because Moogie commented on an online magazine article and put a link in her post :)
Found this forum in my early days on 5:2 when the fastdiet.co.uk had the link on their page. It is now no longer there as we all know. Shame. (However I am more than happy with this forum and this is where I seek motivation, encouragement and help.)
