Just to let you know that the trifle is made and is suitably decadent ... groan good thing it is being shared by us all
The rest of the stuffing is done and the first turkeys are in the oven and should be ready for our fellows down under for a late lunch. If I am not mistaken, it's around 8:00PM in Australia, right now ?

@manderley you had better alert me as the turkeys are finished because I need the juices from the roasting pan to make the gravy while they rest. And @ballerina I'll be needing that red wine opened to go in the cook gravy!
The first 5 will be ready in an hour and after it'll be 5 birds every 4 hours but with my magical ovens it only takes half the time so 5 every 2 hours after that until 1h30
No, change that, only until 20h30 and the rest of them tomorrow morning to have some freshly cooked for lunch European time

She was harangued, yes, you read that right, she was harangued by some unpleasant chap on the forecourt. I advised her by PM that she really should learn from this rather unsavoury altercation and desist, immediately, from siphoning petrol from other peoples cars. I now hope she has indeed learned to behave herself

Penny, sorry to make this such a public thing but petrol rustling has to be stamped out
*hangs head in shame*
Is there no end to my follies?
Anyway chaps and chapesses, nearly time to get the party started. I thought I heard some jingling bells and a clatter of hooves on some roof tops and I thought that'll be Santa on his way 'down under'.
Since Eve (the day, not the chick) is the main Christmasssy happening over here, I sat up late last night to finish the binding on the holliday quilt with a glass ow wine beisde me. Correct that, several glasses of wine - one sip, ten stithses - oups
That means I won't be home tomorrow night when the bigger part of the world celebrates, so I thought I woul show you the result now:
Finished party quilt

WHY don't my pictures show???? There are not to big (round 800X800 or smaller) and I use the IMG button and I have uploaded them to Photobucket….
I have had this problem before and solved it by making a post on my Wolfiestitchin blog… Need to go and buy some last minute groceries now.

happy xmas to you too, have a great one
Oh help the weather the weather it's blowing a gale AND snowing the tent will blow down, we won't have any power, nobody will get there This is a disaster DON'T PANIC! . I can't even ask Balerina for a cocktail because after the first sip I will sit down chat and let all hell and mayhem take place around me. Hic. Pack chainsaws, shovels, hot water bottles and chocolate lots of chocolate for the journey oh and wear extra socks and jumpers.
A sneak peak at some of the chutneys.
The cheeses are coming to the correct serving temperature; liqueurs and cream ready for the liqueur coffees. It's all getting exciting.
I'll try and keep out of trouble today, shall I?
@Wolfie I use the upload attachment to upload the pics straight to here.
Wow, they look fabulous, well done Penny and have a great Christmas xx

And where do I find that attachment? Still woosey after all that stitching.
Nessie! Am I going to need the wet fish? I've added extra ballast to the tent and other buildings (including the loos) so nothing is going to blow away.
If you really need to panic, take a look at the sprouts. I'm really not convinced they'll be ready
All the other veggies and veggie mains are ready and by way of Manderley's magic cooker will be ready and served at the same time as the birds.
Now, is it too early for a wee drinkypooh?
