Merry Christmas everybody - I am here with you this morning wineoclock - just having my coffee to kick start the morning. I will have my champagne a little later in the morning whilst preparing the lunch.

It's a beautiful sunny morning here in Melbourne, the Pork is about to go onto the Weber and everything else is ready - I am so looking forward to seeing our delightful gorgeous 5 year old granddaughter and the rest of our family for the gathering.

I see Santa has been - lots of goodies under the Christmas tree!

Peeled parsnips, carrots, and topped and tailed the brussels sprouts this afternoon - not sure who else was on veg prep ...

I was also on veg duty, and have obliged accordingly. Have also taken advantage to put the peelings in a bag for the horses for their Christmas day buckets

Have to admit that I've also sneaked in a bit of bread sauce prep, the onion is stuffed with cloves & has been softened in milk, & the breadcrumbs are ready ......... sorry was someone else on bread sauce duty?

yes, I was doing bread sauce, but I love it so two lots will be great!

It's all.prepped and in the double boiler quietly cooking at the back of the stove while I finish the cranberry sauce and await the turkeys coming out of the ovens so I can start the gravy.

Meanwhile, I'm testing the red wine to check its suitable for going in the gravy!

Sorry slept in. But the sound of our local bush fire brigade is wafting in the window as they drive around the neighbourhood with Santa on board

Oh I do do tea and coffee as well. @JuliannaRuvers are you there. Music is on and sirens are wailing here whistles blaring and there goes Santa on the back of a fire truck with his helpers waving

Roll up rol up (but not too rolling, it's only early morning for you lot!) For cheeses and biscuits and chutney. Also liqueuer coffee. Name your tipple and I have it mes amis x

Merry Christmas from Brisbane...Santa has left lots of presents all over Australia...and now on his way West to my friends in UK. He ate all his snacks so his energy levels are good:)

Oh crikey! I've been so busy I've fallen behind on the starters. So its going to have to be Buck's Fizz with either Baked Camembert or Asparagus with Parma Ham for everyone. Is there any room in the ovens?

The last turkeys are about to go right in the ovens, everything should be ready in about 2 hours and a half

Saw Santa passing over last night!
Hot beach partying from all down under, no fights or drunken injuries reported - all good
Now over to Europe to keep the party going...................handcuffs at the ready !!!
