I have had this problem before and solved it by making a post on my Wolfiestitchin blog… Need to go and buy some last minute groceries now.

@wolfie Dont use the img button on the forum. Just cut and paste it straight off photobucket.

If you really need to panic, take a look at the sprouts. I'm really not convinced they'll be ready
All the other veggies and veggie mains are ready and by way of Manderley's magic cooker will be ready and served at the same time as the birds.
Now, is it too early for a wee drinkypooh?

I agree @Nessie you are Scottish so you should be made of stronger stuff. If @janeg does not apply the wet fish then I will. Come and help me and the team in cocktail prep area. You can have a glass of sherry to calm you down.
Managing the birds and rolling the truffles at the same time. I love that woman are multitasking beasts
Good panicking @nessie! @ballerina where's that wine...the gravy is in need of it or the Aussies and Kiwis won't have any gravy to go with their turkey

Good job you're not stuffing the truffles and rolling the birds, @Manderley
@carorees panic not, all is in hand, some lovely reds open, fabulous whites, the champagne is is just going into the flutes and there is some VERY old Cockburn port warming gently by the AGA as we speak! Would I Let you lot down? NEVER!, COME AND GET IT ..................... :present:   :coffee: :pizza: :reindeer: :cake: :pig2: :pig2: :booze: :drink: :kissing: :drink:  :drink:

Ballerina x
Ooh it's gone dead quiet in here - are people having too much fun to post - or have they blown away in the marquee?? Peeled parsnips, carrots, and topped and tailed the brussels sprouts this afternoon - not sure who else was on veg prep ... :?: but Manderley and Caro seem to have been sweating over a hot stove  :victory:

And here's the link to the latest quiz rounds ...

Chestnuts crackling on the open fire. Don't burn your fingers! Merry Christmas humanity xx
All quiet on the security post!

Can someone bring me some mulled wine, it's a bit chilly out here x
I have moved the marquee temporarily to the beach for all our Aussie buddies. It needs to be portable as it's moving around for the next 24 hrs. Besides the weather is too horrid to stand up in Blighty.

I'm delegating to @juliana.rivers and @gillymary to be in charge until they pass the baton to the Brits who will need to hand off to our US sisters (volunteers?) when we start to flag.

I have left chilled manzanilla sherry in the fridge, Laurent Perrier rose champers on ice, poinsettia cocktail also on ice and mulled wine on the aga. Help yourselves Aussie sisters and have a wonderful Christmas    See you later
Loos are still on the ground and upright. I've cleaned them all. They have nice fluffy towels in them and plenty spare. I ordered some luxury soft potty paper.
I gave up on trying to upload pictures of the party quilt here, so they are instead on my personal blog:

Happy Christmas everyone :D
Wolfie, you are so talented. I shall have a good look around your blog.
Well folks, whatever the weather, we'll be warm!
Merry Christmas. 6.45am and I'm awake so where are the rest of the tent people waking up? It's time for a breakfast champagne.
happy christmas everyone! A beautiful sunny day already in Melbourne, Australia, going for clear & sunny & 31 deg here! Still a couple of things to organize, heading over for a family lunch at my ex's with our lovely sons, presents, food and maybe board games & a walk in Mt Waverley reserve, then a snooze after that. Hope everyone has a great day, love, Jools xxx
