Morning/afternoon/evening, wherever you are. I have no water here this morning. Been on the phone to the water company at 5am (we are early risers). There must be a leak somewhere and it seems we are the first to report as they are unaware. Bit grumpy as I wanted to get out sharp this morning and go and buy OH's Christmas present before it gets too busy. But I guess I need to be here and hassle until the supply comes back on. I have some hot water in the tank to get showered thank goodness.

I had our office Xmas lunch today. A glass and a bit of red wine, some scrummy fish with thin cut fries and tartar sauce and a delicious creme brulee ... and I'm bloated and uncomfortable and considering skipping dinner!

Plus I was given a box of choccies from my Secret Santa and as much as I love chocolates, I think they'll last me a while. My sweet tooth is not as sweet on this WOE!

Oh that's stink! Hopefully they don't take too long to fix it all.

(Oh, and 5am is a RIDICULOUS time of day IMO :P)

Hello peeps!
Chilly here and still dark.
Having no water isn't good, @rawkaren. Hope it's fixed soon

@SoTellMe yes, anyone can chat... where in the world are you?

We're off out tonight for a meal with friends. Our village pub usually comes up trumps and I'm not going to make the same mistake I did on my birthday, when I fasted and then couldn't eat the meal. I'm planning a ham salad for lunch.

Also got a hot date with my hair stylist, who will wrestle with my unruly locks, only to have me leave the salon looking like a dog's dinner. I think he despairs, but battles bravely on!

But for now, I'm chilling and enjoying a mug of Starbucks!

Good morning to all :-D
Karen, good your water is back :like:

Have to go for some last minute shopping during lunch as I never ever put a foot in stores fron the 21st of December to the 2nd of January. It's a strange rule but I was traumatized years ago when I went to shop on Christmas eve and I promised myself that would never happen again.

Who says I am weird ?

And speaking of hair, I have a decision to make. To cut it to the middle of my back or to keep them as they are, at the limit of my butt :dunno:

It's a lot easier now in the Uk, since 24 hour and online shopping were introduced. I remember the queues, fractious kids, shop assistants going up and down with tins of sweets, trolleys piled high and sore feet!

Now, all the heavy stuff gets delivered and I'll do the rest of the fresh food at local shops.

When I was a child we seemed to have ENORMOUS amounts of food on Christmas Day. How on earth did we manage to put away the main meal and pudding, then at some point find a tiny corner to fit in Yule Log, Cake, Mince Pies and Trifle?

Must think about Christmas food and then actually buy it, but brain semi-functioning and body on slo-mo. Feel like I've slept-walked through the last week :0(
Been 16/8ing as I can't cope with anything else, weight steady at 69.8kgs at least.
Have a happy day :0)
