I've just been to the post office to send some items I'd sold on eBay only to discover that my postage price calculations were off (even though I'd carefully entered all the details on the royal mail price calculator) so that the extra postage for one item is more than the selling price. :-( So I've spent hours photographing, weighing, describing the items, packaging them up, emailing the buyers about progress and going to the post office all for the grand sum of £5!!! I should have just taken them to the charity shop.

Oh and I don't even get to keep the £5 as the items were some scalextric sets that DS has long grown out of so HE gets the money not me. Grrr.

Oh no! How deeply frustrating! Have to put a positive spin on it - you've made someone very happy with their purchase from you. Merry Christmas honeybun x

Just been round M and S and Morrisons in Wetherby - both crazy: you'd think that xmas was tomorrow, not next Wednesday! Think they ought to have a one - way system, and ban people from talking in the middle of the aisles ...

Well it's Friday night and I am painting the kitchen in hope of getting it all sorted by Xmas eve.
Large pile of excess stuff taking up room in Lounge that kitchen company need to collect and where my tree should be!!
Dining room covered in boxes of plates/spices/cutlery. And I have smashed every wine glass but one (This one now has wine in it!)
Is it dangerous to be up a ladder in a dimly lit kitchen sipping wine?!

I didnt know earlier in the week if i'd be well enough for the journey..!
But....Here i am in first class! Was only about a fiver to upgrade when i booked weeks ago..
Well worth it..free food and wine flowing.. Free wifi
BUT my bliss has been rudely shattered AND I NEED YOUR PRAYERS NOW!PLEASE!
Have just realised i havent got my over 60 railcard with me..which the cost of my tickets is based on..
No idea where it is..as far as i remember it was tucked in with my tickets...its quite flimsy, was surprised how flimsy when i bought it.
So...although i look haggard and well over sixty, will be just my luck i get a jobsworth inspector who wants to see it..
So i need your help.pls pray to whoever you believe listens...i dont wanna get thrown off or charged full fare! Yikes!
And i face this hell on my return journey ..crumbs,whats a girl to do...will just have to act like dotty old lady ( not difficult for me)   times ten! XX

Hi chatterers, I have been so busy that I haven't had time to visit but have just caught up with all your news. I can't respond to you all individually but I have read all your posts and awwwww and awwwww and doh and lol. Think that just about covers it.

I have decided to make up a hamper for a friend for Christmas and am going to make some clementine curd in some 500g Kilner jars and some mincemeat popcorn. Did you see Kirstie's Homemade Christmas on the box? The popcorn looked so unusual and yummy that I thought I'd give it a bash. Got some nice bags to put it in. I have also got some luxury conserve and onion marmalade, going to get some sherry and some other bits. Hope she will like it.

I also have a Christmas cake to ice and cards to write and post. I know, I know.......

Christmas tree went up today, we have two this year, never done that before. We are always late with all this because we have December birthdays and a sad anniversary, to get through, so once all that is over we start Christmas. I am always on the back foot!

Do any of you tweet? I love twitter. PM me if you want to be my twitter friend or whatever you call it
