Well I've made it back! I am a half bean now :(. I had to wait for 1 hr 10 mins before I went in...and then the assessment took 20 mins. I wouldn't have minded if they were busy, but it took the woman an hour, it seems, to write up the previous customer's notes. You think they'd know how hard it is for people with certain medical conditions to sit and wait for that length of time wouldn't you? Also, while I was being assessed she typed as she went along! Not a happy bean. Still at least it's over now and I can relax in my jimjams!

Bean :sleepy:

Overly beany ballerina x

When I read this, I was just about to tell you fine folk that when I was a child my mother called me "Monkeyshines Beanpole" followed by my full name, Wendy..... I just remembered this recently.

Was she being ironic? Did she even know what irony was in the 1960's? I was, after all, the smallest 9 year old around...

When I was even younger, and looked like a toddler, my parents taught me to say "don't draw conclusions from insufficient evidence" to people who treated me like one. Bet I blew some folks away! I should post this in the short tent..

When will you know, bean?
Enjoy relaxing in the jimjams!

Puppy had her weigh-in today and she's put on 2kg and they're happy with progress. We've also enquired about puppy socialisation. I know she's with 3 other dogs already, but she must get used to strangers too.

And just for @silverdarling I bought some Tesco finest salted caramel drinking chocolate today. Rather good!!

And, last but not least, a thought for @rawkaren and all of you in her sunshine state - it's cold, wet and darned miserable here!

Knew I hadn't imagined Bile Beans and we've got the Aussies to thank for them!
Had a wonderful Mexican lunch, still feel absolutely stuffed as we shared a tray of 'street food' with sides of red rice and refried beans. Surprisingly no guacamole so still not cracked my avocado phobia!
Spent up in the speciality food shop on ras el hanout, preserved lemons, coconut flour, macadamia nuts etc etc. Could have spent hours in there!

@nursebean, hope you're ok after today's ordeal, when will you hear the result? x

I have a box of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans that I'm afraid to eat because when I tried one, it really did taste like dirt, just as the box diagram said. I thought they were only kidding!

Bean, we didn't take the other 2 springers, just trained them ourselves and they're pretty good! But we think this one has the makings of a super springer and we'd like to see how she does on Flyball. Maybe the middle one too, though she might be a bit too old at 2.

Oh Flyball?! Thats brilliant! I always like watching the dogs playing Flyball on Crufts. I would have loved the girls to do it...but I think they'd break their necks never mind their legs! Do your dogs do agility?

They do agility in the field, jumps etc, but no competitive agility. Neither hubs or I were fit enough to run round with them!

Oh dear! No, that's the trouble I guess isn't it...you've gotta be able to run with them...doh!

My day sort of fell apart after I logged off. I hit a very tired slump at about 3pm and just couldn't drag myself to the shed or the shower (its the lack of sleep, even when I get a night of good sleep, its just doesn't make up for all the others that have been bad). So I crashed on the sofa and woke up 20 minutes after my appointment time. I spoke to the doctor again over the phone and grovelled profusely, and now have an appointment next Wednesday.
I did manage to go to the gym where I was re-assessed and my routine has been changed. I am now rather sore with the heavier weights.

I did manage to make a scale drawing of the giant crochet hook I want to make, so I am a step closer to getting back in my shed.
