Poor chippy is now clucking away in chook heaven, she had a good life and she made us a gift most days. Had to be done. Bless her little scratchy claws.(back one)

@carieoates, I'm sorry to hear about poor Chippy. R.I.P
Minor panic. Puppy just chewed a wasp. Thankfully, no reaction.
Sad about your chook. I always get upset when I lose one of mine. I have a very elderly girl who probably does not have much longer.
Bathed the dogs today as they were smelly with this hot weather. Frank is easy, just pick him up and put him in the kitchen sink ( he is a Teckel/ Yorkie) but Bruno was hard work. He has to go in the bath and doesn't like it and he is 45kg of Boxer/Mastiff! Did it though and my bathroom has now dried out!

My big dogs don't like baths either!
Great time at the leavers BBQ, got home to find Minsdad rolling around the floor in acute pain. He'd called an ambulance 3hrs previously and was still waiting! Managed to get him to A&E via a taxi, I couldn't take him as ,blissfully unaware of his predicament ,had gulped down a large pear cider and some wine. I am now trying to get hold of the A&E admissions to find out what has happened to him......think I can get through? Arrrgggh!
Just caught up with this busy thread. How's your toe @CandiceMarie? Sorry to hear about Chippy @carieoates. I thought I'd report that I love this WOE. we had 2 weeks of holidays where I didn't 5:2 and did not low carb. I put on 2.8 KGS. Back to work last week with 5:2 proper fasts, eating windows the other days and lower carb, most of the weight gain has disappeared with only 0.3 kg remaining. Just brilliant!
OMG @minsmum hope all ok? Poor Minsdad!
Nice to see you @Julianna ..toe still bad - thanks for asking - mainly coz i stubbed it again in exactly the same way, waaaaargh!
@Carieoates bye bye Chippy,now in chicky heaven,bless her x

@MinsmumYour poor hubby. I hope he's being treated by now and is feeling better. What a day!
Morning all
Taking ages to load the site! Thunderstorms rumbling around over night and still going now. Guests left at 6.30am new ones arrive this afternoon. Gite cleaning and linen change this morning. Then greet new ones later, these are coming from Brussels.
Will have to be indoor stuff today, my new cloakroom is coming on well, it now has two walls!
Am back to calorie counting annoyingly but necessary! Still working on ditching cake apart from very occasional treat. Think I am winning this one!
Have a good day all

Oh good grief! Thanks for all your concern peeps, love this forum x
I gave up trying to get through to the hospital at 2am, tried again at 7am and they denied all knowledge of him!! Luckily he came out of his morphine induced haze and managed to text me a bit later. He's drugged up and in that morphine happy place, hungry because they wouldn't let him have any rice crispies this morning (!) and waiting for the Doctor. Phew, and breathe........Min was a bit worried this morning, she thinks it means you are going to die if you go into hospital ( the things kids get in their heads). I've told her that her dad is nowhere near that stage, and is ok because he's still thinking about food! She's happy now.
Min is now super excited, as today is the big day. The day she has been promised and been patiently waiting for since she was 7. Getting her ears pierced. I said to her a long time ago, you can have them done when you leave primary.........and now that day has come! ( just might have to go to the hospital to show daddy!!!)
Have a good weekend all xx

Have they said what is wrong yet? Hope he is home again soon.
Also that Min is pleased with her new grown up look. I remember taking my girls to have their ears pierced, much excitement!

Glad he is ok@Minsmum
@CandiceMarie My Nanna had one eye done but they saw a mass behind and want her to go back in two weeks. She has macular degeneration (sp) but they don't think it's to do with that. My Grandad has an appiontment through for his pre radiotherapy apparently they tattoo him and he wasn't pleased about it. It isn't a cure but it should make him more comfortable and give him more time. The fact I haven't pigged out this week has amazed me because it has been quite stressful.

@Minsmum you must be exhausted, take care and I hope Minsdad is home very soon. Lucky Min Day too!
@Brand-ie blimey that is a lot for you to take on - sending you a big hug and lots of strength. My 90 year old Mum has macular degeneration - she never made it to the world of the internet but I arranged for the quarterly magazine http://www.macularsociety.org/ and she loves it as she does not feel on her own, it's in big print and the right colours and it's full of supportive and useful info etc. Well done for not caving in this week, it is so easy to lose mindfulness, you are obviously doing something right
