Granddaughter had two extra ear piercings for her birthday so now three on each side. It was nicely done and she wears stud earrings in reducing sizes. Her dad took her and got a back of the neck (horrible) stud. I told him off a bit as I thought he'd have grown up a bit by now, but like water off a ducks back, he just grinned. Kids eh!

Min and I have just got back from the hospital. We didn't get to stay long as Minsdad, in his excitement in seeing us fell asleep!! But Min is happy, she got to show her dad her piercings and got to see that he is in the best place and no where near the pearly gates. He has seen the Consultant who has said that depending on the type of pain he has btwn now and midnight will determine the treatment. Any sharp stabbing pain then he's going in for a general and having a stent put in, dull aches and it's strong painkillers and hopefully home tomorrow evening. Fingers crossed.
So Min and I are having a quiet girlie night in with sticky ribs and tortillas n dips, a movie and maybe a glass of wine for me, whilst admiring her new earrings xxxxx thanks everyone for letting me share my weekend of stress xxxxxxx

Thanks for the good wishes @CandiceMarie. I'm up, showered, washing machine on, cuppa in hand, outfit ready. I'm having toast for brekkie. Don't usually have brekkie. Then afterwards my pal Irene and I are going for Chinese food, (she is Chinese Malay) dim sum, traditional Sunday food. Wow it was hot last night. I woke up sweaty, the first time in my entire life that's happened. Will post a pic of us before and after. !
@Minsmum, was wondering how hubs was, and did you get a buddy, if not do you want to join up with@Nursebean and myself.? @Manderleylove those nails. Very fashionable colour as you probably know.

Hope minsdad is home today @minsmum update us later if you can.

I have just read the post above and as much as I love you all I just want to publicly declare that I am so glad that @carieoates is in my life. She keeps me on the straight and narrow with her no nonsense approach. I am beginning to replace 'what would Wendy do?' With 'what would carieoates do?' she is my role model and stops me from being such a soppy date (food again) Just realised this, it has all happened subconsciously. Don't be surprised if my profile pic changes from Wendy to Carioeoates!!!!! Feel the love that this forum brings us

Right. Update....... I am just putting away everything I am keeping for now and have decided that I will do this each month to get into of the habit.

Not like me at all when twenty words can say the same as two. I was in a hurry and knew I'd forget if I didn't do it right there and then.

This is just what I need. Kindness and thoughtfulness mixed with a bit of no nonsense. So if you're the same then I am sure she will oblige

Morning all, Min and I had a lovely girls nite in and more importantly a lie in this morning, with pancakes for breakfast (fasting on hold this weekend)
Minsdad is staying in hospital for a bit. His kidney is still inflamed and they are worried re infection. So I have a long list of things to take him to make his stay a bit more comfy.
@Manderley I love that colour.

Bloody Hell.sorry for that....... my darling @Wendy Darling I'm just me. Bought a flippin tear to my eye that did. I'm so glad I inspire you but you also inspire me with your frozen iPhone, cake making and taxiing your dear daughter from city to City to get round the universities.
This has been a great day.

Morning everyone..another new week..what plans do you have?
I' m busy getting ready for DD & SiL returning from London..their house isnt ready til September, and they are back 31 July Yippppeeeee ! And will be staying with me til Sept.
Niece has asked me to housesit for her this weekend to look after her little Jack Russell so that should be fun as he's good company!
