I'm sure there is a gene that clicks in when you turn 40 that says 'and now you shall become a grower of all things green'. Because before 40 i had put maybe 40 daffodil bulbs in the ground, in my whole life, and once bought a seedling tray on allysum when I was about 22. That was the total of my greenfingered experience. Well apart from mowing the lawn about twice a year.

Bad diet news today. I've tried the refeeding technique for the last week or so. I've missed two full fasts and put on 6lb in weight! I don' know whether to give it one more week, but make healthier choices, or to give in at only one week of refeeding. my weight does seem to have stabalised at the 6lb increase, a lot of it could be water, but not all. Once I'm back to fasting (after my weekend away with hubby) I am going for 4:3 as I really did seem to lose more when it was 3 days a week fasting. Its amazing how bleurgh I'm feeling, having a sinus headache doesn't help, neither did the full box of choccies that I was going to make last for a week, but only lasted 36 hours. I'm spotty, I have no energy and I'm looking forward to a salad for lunch. The lads have managed to spoil todays good intentions by getting me a '99 from the icecream van. I haven't had one of them for at least a year so I've enjoyed it. The quality is certainly better than it used to be when I was much younger. Even the ice cream vans have creamy tasting icecream now.

Oh @Julieathome isn't it annoying how easily the weight goes on! I was feeling sympathetic until I read you've eaten chocolate!!

I'm just jealous!

It wasn't just any old chocolates, it was a large bog of 'Prestat' chocolates, as found in Palaces all over the world and on the Royal Yacht Brittania when there was one. I did share, honestly, they were very rich so it didn't feel as if I needed to just keep on eating, it was actually very easy to stop at a couple. But still, when you have chocolates that have passion fruit fillings and parma violet filling (the fragrance as you bit into that one was lovely), you do tend to keep dipping into the box. I am now a confirmed choco-phile, Dairy Milk will no longer be enough. It will have to be expensive chocolates from here on in.

Love this @Julieathome - if you're going to do chocolate, may as well be the best there is :like:

There was one bar of Prestat in Fenwick's when I bought @rawkarens 85% Lindt ... I must admit I nearly bought it ...

I had never even heard of them before hubby bought me them. He said he was quite shocked to find them for sale on Amazon, as he had only ever seen them when he was doing close protection work with Prince Phillip (who loved them) and he couldn't understand why someone would pay that kind of money for chocolates when a bar of dairy milk was soooo much cheaper.

*right proper name dropper here*.

He did, but hubby is not a chocolate eater so he didn't notice anything special about them.

There is a new chocolatier on Anglesey, @julieathome and, even though I can take or leave chocolate, I find his deeeevine

Go for them all    but obvs my favourite is the caramel one (closely followed by the mint one, the 70% dark one, the orange and almond one ... You get the picture    )

Make sure you don't get checkout angst - take someone with you to help pack - you could always bribe them with the promise of chocolate ...
