I think I can see this being one of the most talked about social events of the year. AND.... good news, it's on a non fast day! Yes! Everybody can join in!
Cals, carbs, cocktails, crackers, it's all free! Yes... free! FYB (fill your boots). I shall be making those puds on Stir up Sunday for us all, then making Christmas pud ice cream for the party.
Shall I be Maitre d this year? Happy to swagger in a red jacket!
I'm in. I can make a big pot of mulled wine for those of you in the cold, and put loads of beer on ice for us lot in the heat.
I can't wait. @Pennyforthem, will you sign me up for childminding again? (that's so much better of a term than what we call it here - babysitting - even when the children are 10!). As I said last year, I have to find other people's children to play with, as mine are distressingly OLD, and grandchildren could be a decade away at this rate...
When the little darlings go off to the guest room for a nap, I'll fill up with all the things I only consume at virtual events
Penny@pennyforthem will the kilted sausage man be offering his services again to this year's party!?
I was thinking about party games. Who remembers the game we played where we described and guessed the city? That was a laugh and I'd love to play it again. Any other ideas for some virtual party games?
Sign me up for some virtual summer Christmas desserts this year, mulled wine sorbet, Christmas pudding icecream and festive flavoured semi-freddo. The closest I'll come to good food this year!
Count me in! I'm way behind on preparing for the RL Xmas let alone a virtual one so I may just have to see what jobs are left on the day and helicopter around helping out where I can!
@carorees - I think a photo of your cinnamon buns will make a massive contribution and set the tone
Well.... I have NO IDEA what you're all on about - and I think you're all bonkers!

BUT I LIKE IT!! :D :D :D

What do I need to do?????? LOL

jbx
I'll bring a chocolate/meringue/fresh cream dessert ( well it won't be fast day!) and work the CD player for musical chairs, pass the (virtual) parcel etc!
Christmas party 2014!

It's that time of year again, when we turn our attention to the forum virtual Christmas party!
Following on from my last thread, there seems to be an appetite to do it all again this year; a time when we can get together round the globe to celebrate the festive season - and, even if you don't celebrate it, enjoy the camaraderie the board has to offer.
Last year, we had cocktails, food galore, odd guests (including the kilted sausage man, IIRC)!) reindeer, Santa's helpers, entertainers.... well everything you'd expect from a thorough good bash!
I'll put myself forward as Maitre d and try So, lets get this party started!

:music: :drink: :cake:
