Very sorry to hear about yr lovely doggy@gillymary
My friends' 18 year old dog,who i was very fond of,went to the Happy Hunting Ground last week. Her owners are devastated,it feels like the end of an era x
@rawkaren, I'm saddened to hear you news and I am thinking of you.

@gillymary,the loss of a pet is a like losing a member of the family. My thoughts go out to you too.
Thanks so much for your kind words, having lost our much younger dog in July to a nasty tumour we had the opportunity then to really be sooky and spoil even more our then failing grande dame, a cheeky Jack russell. A Houdini she had many adventures even down wombat holes and as she got older was disorientated after her adventure then would collapse plumb tuckered out in some neighbours place. Many rescues ensured but we always got her back. She had many close calls but gave life her best shot. She had a mind of her own, would take off when you called her, she was erratic, but so cute and wangled many a treat out of all our neighbours. Can one ever resist pleading Jack Russell eyes. She gave joy to many.

That is what we will miss, it was never a dull moment with our tiny little buddy who thought she was a Dane
I'm so sorry to hear the news about your FIL, @rawkaren--My thoughts are with you and family.

@gillymary I'm sad to learn of your loss--you gave her a wonderful life.
I love Jack Russells @gillymary and what a character your JR was!
My niece has just moved in round the corner with her darling little Jack Russell..looking forward to some good fun! X

Hi Candy @CandiceMarie best breed if you want some excitement. Had a bit of time at home early last year and my little buddy was such a wonderful watch dog and she had a different series of barks, the man who delivered the gas bottles got a lazy welcome different to the parcel delivery man who got excitedly escorted to the door and then once I heard a commotion and someone wanted to put some rubbish in our bin well he was just not welcome and got chased away as she was positively cranky at him. I got to know some more of her character by being home more

Just enjoy you new chum they are such lovely personalities in a small package. Often recall times of marching back home from around the neighbourhood with her tucked under my arm after another adventure. 'She led us on a merry chase' would be a good epitaph
Cute craziness seems to be a terrier characteristic  Our border terrier is also like that. And those eyes, who can resist those eyes  I never had a terrier before and I was really surprised by his joyful temper. He acts like crazy when he sees me, waging his tiny tail, jumping in my arms and singing like if I didn't come for ages, a real bundle of joy which is really nice in the crazy year we had...
Yesterday was our family gathered from furthest parts for a big Xmas meal and naughty nibbles and a joy it was.
The scales agree this morning ~ they're up a kilo!!
Hey ho (or hohoho), this week will but add to it then
THEN
then a better structured menu in better structured times will ensue :0)
Have a very merry Christmas week everyone, and on to a very happy new year {{{+}}}
So today will be another day in bed with a fast I didn't plan, muscles aching and a bit of fever. Some people gain weight during the Holidays, I already managed to lose a bit more than 1 kg  No mince pie for me today :(
Hugs and feel better soonest @Manderley
Also still abed with a stomach bug. Headache and churning tum. No fever though. Maybe we are psychic twins @Manderley
@ilverdarling I like that idea

@Azureblue Do not worry, it's a Holiday tradition of mine for more than years now, my body reject Christmas and New Year's celebrations. And look, there's a good thing to it, I won't binge because of it and will do Christmas eve and New Years eve fasts without any other thoughts
Get well soon@SilverDarling and @manderley
I feel for you, as i often have flu, a bad cold or a nasty bug at xmas x
~ HAPPY SOLSTICE and a COOL YULE to friends old and new x
Thanks for a year full of fun and friendship and sharing x
