@marybeth. Will it ever end? I was watching someone on the TV reporting from the Hudson River. I have never seen it like that before. I work with alot of Bostonian's and the beginning of the day is spent comparing overnight photographs from their families. It must be exhausting.

It's only 34 deg here this morning so I had to wrap up this morning for my walk, but I suppose you would kill for a temperature like that right now.

Stay warm.
Anybody catch Neil Diamond on telly? I just noticed in the tv listings he was on..and switched on..
He used to look so gorgeous..has lost his looks to some extent but still retains some of his old magic, despite a bit too much Dad Dancing!
Love his music ..Hot August Night my fave album x
I didn't see him today but am a big fan. I recently found his 1971 In concert for the BBC on you tube . Not only was he gorgeous I think his voice was also better then as well
I say Neil Diamond in concert a couple of years ago, he was amazing. I hope I'm that fit at his age!!

Hi @rawkaren sorry I didn't see this before--we have warmed up a little, but still have a couple of single-digit (F) nights predicted this week, but the days much warmer than they've been for weeks. We actually walked out to movies and dinner yesterday without putting on boots--sidewalks, crosswalks, curbs dry for a change. Our SIL works in downtown Boston, but has been working from (suburban) home a lot the last few weeks--the commute so long and tiring whether driving or taking the train.

Have you seen this amazing story? photographer catching a short-lived phenomenon http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/28/scien ... share&_r=0
I just saw on the news tonight that more than 63% of the USA is icebound. Unbelieveable! http://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news/win ... rm-n315281
Wo those are snowy conditions! So far we've only had 2 days of snow in the UK. Yesterday it felt as though Spring is on the way. My sister in Montreal has snow at the moment but I'm not sure its the same as in the US. I guess there may be more coming their way. What's it like where you are then Karen?
As for Neil Diamond, he has a great voice...not so sure I'd ever found him attractive though
@nursebeanyou need to look for the BBC4 In Concert from 1971 on YouTube - I'm sure you'll change your mind!
