That may help - I'll have to check into them. Thanks Betsy! :like:
What about tiger balm Debbie? I use it for any aches and pains and it is really warming.
Might be a little cheaper than UGGS, too, though I think taller boots will be helpful as well. Cureently I wear tennies when I walk outside. Thanks, Umleila!
The awful realization that your fitbit is still attached to the clothes you have put in the wash!!!!

Eek. Thankfully I realized pretty quickly and was able to fish out a soggy and soapy fitbit that is still actually working! Phew that was close.
Keep an eye out for Rho 140 on the leader board...another fitbit user joins our group.

Work is really interfering with my morning walks, hoping to get back on track soon.

Umleila...definitely a close call!
Hi Everyone
I bought my fitbit one today...and would love to join the Fitbit Club...my first challenge is 10,000 steps each day...this week I am going to carry on as usual...and see how many steps I do each day...and then next week try and meet my target of 10,000 steps each day...and then try and improve each week :)

Hi Jem61...welcome to 5:2 and fitbit. Just send a PM to me, Betsy, or Umleila with your email address and we will send you an invite from the fitbit group site.
Hi Jem61 :) Have you joined yet? I haven't received a pm but maybe one of the others have.

How's everyone doing? Einatlb are you still in competition with your brother? Your step count is amazing. I'm on a four day streak with my goals. It's the highest streak since August! I would really like to make it to over a week.

My husband is on over an eighty day one on his fuel band but I reckon that's because he's set his goals so low and he spends an hour in the gym everyday.

I got a fitbit friend request from someone called tricky. Is it anyone from here? I'm sorry if it is. I don't recognize the name.

Have a good day everyone :)
Hi Umielia I have joined ,GoLinda sent me an invitation. I have started to wear my Fitbit, just doing everyday things, to see how many steps I do in an average week, then building it up each week :)
Good luck Jem61. I think you'll find that you start to become a bit step obssessed when you get the fitbit. At least some of us on here are :)

If i complete my goals today it will be a 6 day streak. The longest I've managed in a while.

What is everyone else's longest streak?
Well I made my step goals every day, and I made my stairs goal for the week (although not every single day). I've upped my steps goal by 500 to 8000/day, and my stairs goal by 1 per day, with a bit of chiding that I really really ought to start practicing doing five flights at a time.

But my weight is actually higher than last week. Cursed thyroid! I just have to remind myself that I'm doing the right thing and someday my body will figure it out.
Tracie, I've upped my steps the last several days and my weight is up just a bit too. I think it's just a bit of water retention since my thighs feel the extra steps I've been taking .. at least that's what I keep telling myself! Hopefully I'll be back down by end of the week, after my muscles recover a bit and my 2 fasts are done. :)
Help! Since the clocks changed, and the weather turned horrible, my steps have dropped off rapidly!
I'm going to have to work out how to get enough exercise in winter...
If you figure out a good motivator let me know. Right now my left foot arch is killing me (no idea why) and the only thing keeping me getting my steps is the thought that hubby will be disappointed if he sees I didn't make my (modest) goal of 8000 steps today.
