I am going to give this a go. I have just done the test and I am in column 2. I will start tomorrow

Without doing the exhaustion test I know for a fact I can only do 1 push up. Despite being a bit of a gym-aholic I have never been able to do push ups!!!
I will start the challenge tonight after work - may even try doing the sit up and squats challenges.
One question - if I were to do these challenges would it make squats/sit ups and push ups any easier and so less effective in the future??

I'm no expert but I would definately think it would make them easier but not less effective.

Why less effective ? If you develop capacity you can increase load or do more repetitions.

I'm stuck at day 1 week 4. The progression is too fast for me. There's a sports fanatic I know who tried it with his son and they also gave up. I will keep trying at this point a bit longer, redoing day 1 to see if I'm really stuck.

I've just done WK3D2, which is over 100 pushups, broken into 5 sets. Tough but doeable. But I'm still doing it the girly way, I cant do a full push up yet. Hopefully I'll be able to by the end of the program, then I can start again properly.

Just completed week 1 of situps relatively easily

Officially abandoned Wk2 Day1 after a couple of attempts. Starting again from Wk1 Day1, this time managed slightly more than the minimum for the last set.
Not feeling strong, right arm still feeling crunchy, so not a great deal of confidence that there will be an improvement this time around!

Done WK3D3 - hardest yet, but I did it. Doing over 100, but spread over 4 sets - can see how they are easing me towards a continual 100. So hard to keep up form towards the end

Ok after one week 1 of situps I've had to abandon them as they give me a bad back, even though I did them properly like the instructions said....oh well.

WK4D1 done. Painful but completed it.

Finished re-sit of week 1, still hard work but managed one extra in the max section. Still don't expect to be able to cope with week 2, the progression seems too quick, but will give it a go starting Wednesday...

Iam upto week 5 2nd day push-ups I am doing the top level.
I managed most of it but stopped because of pain in the shoulders; will retake when I return from a long weekend break
This is the first time I have had to repeat a day

Tried Wk2 Day1 again last night - still hopeless, despite doing better at Wk1 Day3 - but big son encouraged me to complete the level even though I could not do all the pushups in each of the latter stages. Will try again at this level in a couple of days, if there is an improvement then I shall use this level as training until I can pass it. Otherwise I shall have to think again! One system I had tried years ago was to find the maximum you could do in one go then for the next week do half that number three times a day. This did seem to work OK, I suppose you have to reset the maximum from time to time as things get easier...

Just done wk5d1 but couldn't complete the last set so I'm going to repeat the day. OH says he can see muscles in my back
