I found a video showing how to do a press-up (push-up) properly:

Keeping my body plank-like is going to be quite a challenge...

There are as many variations on pushups as there are on noodles, I think. :)

It looks like his elbows go back alongside the ribs? Like in chaturanga in yoga. Bad-@ss. :)

Don't like to mention it when others finding it hard but maybe it will inspire.
I might just finish week two today.

Nice one colkerr!

I finished week 1 this morning, in my dressing gown, with the cat watching at 7.15am- was in a bit of a rush, but the good thing about this challenge is it doesn't take long to do at all :)

Ballerina- have you got past the thinking stage yet? :)

Oh.......was hoping you'd forgotten about me. Still mulling it over, think it might not be challenging enough for me, oh, who am I kidding? NO, there, I've admitted defeat without even leaving the sofa or putting down my glass of wine, how impressive is that?

Can you not do it for me? Does it not work on a proxy system?

Ballerina x

Finished week 1 and ready for week 2... nice that you're over and done with before you know it. Thanks for the vid view Dominic. My first five look just like his...the second five however...definitely need some finessing.

Week one day one (on my knees - "girl pressups" as my son calls them) done. I never believed couch25K would work, and it did, so I'm cautiously optomistic

Week one day one - doing it as we speak! Finally got around to it....girly pish ups of course! (For now at least...)

Completed week 1! The second day (of the 3) was easier than the last. I'm looking forward to graduating from my knees and doing proper push ups (and probably starting all over again at week one!)

I also realise I may not have been doing them 100% correct from the looks of the video... will have to try harder!

Week 1 day 2 done. Using the reminder function on the app has helped me formalise when I do it, and not keep putting it off. Looking forward to seeing results on my less-than-perfect arms

Just failed Week1 Day3 - only 12.5 out of required 13... Had been putting off attempting it because I expected to fail - see, I was right!

Just have to try again on Saturday, I suppose...

Creaky! I'd take that as a pass, blinking awesome - if you are doing an extra day, I will attempt full ones tomorrow then- you are inspiring me to push myself - cheers!

Well, lo and behold. This is a program. I've noticed improvement as I move from first to second. Maybe will start on the situp regimen too.

This challenge looks fun! Decided to give it a shot. Just took the test and managed only 4 :-(, then left it ten mins and did the day1/week1 set.

I had been doing some press ups (sorry push ups) before, so based on my test I was told to start with week 3 column 2, which I just finished. Strangely for day 1 I failed the final set (17+) quite badly, for 'day 2' I failed the final set (19+) but not too badly and just now I managed the final set of day 3 (21+). I am amazed at the improvement in a few days, though having a longer break between sets probably helps too. On to the next week...

I only just realised the object is to get to 100 *consecutive* press ups, not just 100 by adding up the sets. That seems unimaginable still...
